Turning Point for Lawler

Re-watching some of Lawler's fights and highlights. Early days, middle days, and now. Not to mention, got to cover and film some of Icon days. IMO, it was the Koscheck fight that really awoken the beast. Not to mention his cut to WW and taking it more serious.

However, I think i was the Koscheck fight he gained momentum and "His soul" Lawler was created. Honestly, when I heard he was coming back to the UFC I was happy but didn't have great expectations. Figure he win some, lose some. Damn was I happily wrong.

Dude, Robbie's career is amazing to look at as a whole. Dropped from the UFC, KO'd by Diaz and worked his way back from fighting in Japan and wherever else he needed to eventually becoming one of the toughest dudes in the world. I love that dude!

I have a theory that its a combination of things

Other than the fact that the dude is simply a beast in the cage who can rip faces off and hit with incredible power, his demeanor itself is intimidating...

From far away he actually looks like a human Lord Voldemort and the way that he speaks and his facial expressions are unconventional and while not necessarily intentionally threatening are sometimes unsettling. He also is quiet for the most part and isn't much of an mma personality, which only adds to the mysteriousness and intimidation, and when he does speak publicly he usually says something disturbing, and he speaks very slowly to ensure that he is clear and that the point is made...

Tbh, If I had to fight someone in the octagon, I think Lawler might be my last pick, for the exact reason that he scares the shyt out of me.

Yeah, I don't know what it is. I'm not a small guy either, so it's not a size thing. I have met numerous fighters but something with Lawler though is just intimidating. Really nice dude though, there was one fan the night of the TUF 22 Finale who asked him for a picture but she realized she left her phone in the hotel. Lawler took his phone out and took a selfie with her and asked for her number to send it to her. Very nice guy (She was about a 4 out of 10 too, so no it wasn't him trying to get her number)

It's impossible. Even getting in character, and being a big Rory fan, it feels silly trying to hate on Robbie.

I tried talking shit about him for the second Rory fight, and I assume Rory lost because I did that. I'm that important.

If these were legitimate fight to the finish events Lawler may not lose to many in the history of the sport. He's a killer in a landscape of sportsmen in 2016.
