Hello,

Here's some of my thoughts for the TUFF-N-UFF 143 event going down this Friday :

Ernesto Rodriguez (9-1) vs Mahmoud Fawzy Sebie (5-2) - TUFF Welterweight Title

An olympian greco-roman wrestler, Sebie has transitioned to MMA in 2021. Still very raw on the feet, he's a genetic freak with his speed and power. On the side of Ernesto, althoug he has struggled against wrestlers such as Richie Lewis in the past, Ernesto has been able to outlast his 7 last opponents.

My predictions is that Ernesto should be able to survive a first round where he will be taken down and then finish a very tired Sebie in the third round.

Kai Kamaka III (14-6-1) vs Joshua Weems (12-4) - 135 lbs

Coming off a split decision loss against Brendan Loughnane, Kai Kamaka is a talented striker on the feet using jabs, calf kick, body jabs and a solid grappler as shown in his UFC fights. Joshua who mostly wins his fights by submission has a interesting mostly kick heavy style. Considering the fact that Kai was hurt by a spinning back kick in his last fight, it will be interesting to see if Joshua can use the same technique.

Overall, I think Kai is the more polished fighter on the feet and I wouldn't be surprised if he takes the fight to the ground. Kai should be able to win by decision.

Daniel Lacerda (12-6) vs Andrew Garrette (5-0) - 135 lbs

Daniel lost his 5 fights in the UFC and all of them by finishes. He's explosive on the feet with his kicks but his defense has been his issue so far in his career. Andrew has not been the most active fighter with 5 fights since 2016 but he has been to show some nice head movement, calf kicks, lead uppercut and body kicks.

I'm predicting that Andrew will edge out the first round on the feet with maybe a dangerous exchange on the ground from Lacerda. Then, in the second round, Andrew will finish Lacerda with uppercuts.

Artiom Cula (11-5) vs John Moore (5-0) - 185 lbs

At 26, John is a young canadian prospect. He's mostly a volume kickboxer using his jab to setup his kicks and he's also vicious in the clinch with elbows & knees. Artiom had a nasty head kick knockout win in his last fight. Most of his game is based on kicks but he doesn't have a lot of head movement.

It's been a tough time for the Canadian MMA scene with no fighter winning on the Dana White contenders series last year. My prediction is that Artiom will pressure John early in the fight but he will start getting tagged with a lot of strikes before being finish at the end of round 1 by knees in the clinch.
