Trying to get an adderall perscription in NYC without healthcare

Fired from my previous job.

During the same timeframe I was diagnosed with ADD - primarily inattentive by a psychiatrist researching a clinical trial drug for ADD (I was to be a volunteer for the clinical trial drug but I opted out 3 days after the diagnosis like a piece of shit lol).

Philosophically I don't like the idea of taking drugs (even though I did a shitload of them in college) but college is the only time I performed well and didn't drift off and procrastinate.

I'm getting crushed by student loan debt and I'm not thriving in any place I find work in.

Problem is, a psychiatrist appointment costs around $500 in NYC without insurance and Adderall is around $100 for a 1-month supply.

I found some scumbag psychiatrists online that write Adderall perscriptions like hotcakes though:

I'm prescribed Adderal, but the pharmacy fills it with generic Amphetamine Salts. Since there is a generic out there, have you looked into that?

I have like 4 months worth of that prescription since I don't take it everyday. I could make bank if I were a dealer.

DAmn that sucks to be in the US. I just got diagnosed as inattentive ADD last year at the tender age of 41 yo. I got put on concerta but it sent me fucking haywire. My shrink waited a while and now I've just recently started on strattera, not built the dose up high enough to notice any benefit yet. I also use self acquired modafinil to help with apathy/fatigue.

I'm making plans to buy a 30 pill bottle from a friend for $200. We'll divide the payment schemes monthly lol.

Otherwise the drug-dealer psychiatrists charge $200 for a visit and then I pay around $100 for the actual prescription.

You can sign up for Medicaid since you're not working but once you have a new job, you wont qualify. My ex lost her job and she was on Adderall and she got it.
