He doesn't have the cult, but the pattern of ignoring or flouting political and legal convention has been set, that genie isn't going back in the bottle, Vance is an orrible little cunt but he's smarter than trump, could do a lot of damage.

He may be smarter than Trump, but he won't be able to wield nearly as much power. MAGA dies with Trump.
 
This tends to be the difference between the modern left and everyone else at this point. Everyone was speculating about Biden's health, but I don't recall people wishing for his death with "fingers crossed" the way they are with Trump. The reactions are absolutely not equatable. This is another example of the anti-Trump people showing they are every bit as evil as they claim Trump and the American voters are.

But Trump is only able to ignore and flout political and legal convention exactly because he has a cult behind him who will turn on anyone who steps out of line. GOP members are so terrified of being primaried that they’ve had to sell their soul and go along with the clown car. Vance will have none of that privilege.

Trump is a toxic person that actively tries to make people's lives miserable. He is a truly awful person. This is about him, not the left. Trump being who he is isn't the left's fault.

Let's pretend you're right. Your solution is to go about life without a spine or a moral center and wish death on politicians you don't like? You demonize anybody with different political ideas than you, yet you are far below the worst things you accuse MAGA of being. How is that a solution to anything?

I am not wishing death upon him, but no fucks will be given and this country will be better off. And yeah, I do demonize Trump and people supporting what he is doing to this country right now. Trump is despicable and so are the people cheering him on.

All it would take is for Trump to say,

"Vance is the Rock on which I shall build my MAGA Church"

And Judge Dredd will have all the cultists he could ever want or need. They would simply transfer their allegiance from the God-Emperor Himself to the Lord Commander Militant of the Imperial Guard.

I suspect at this point a lot of MAGA would actually prefer Vance; he's younger, less unpredictable and doesn't come with the baggage of Trump.
