The vast majority of people who identify as being Republican, when polled, doubt natural selection. This is denial. Far more republicans believe in angels than man made hydro carbon emissions causing rising temperatures. This is denial. Saint Reagan had a director of the interior who said we dont need to save the environment because the second coming is at hand. This is insane. Reagan said trees cause more pollution than cars. Once again, insane. Republicans side with oil lobbyists ALL THE TIME. Republicans routinely roll back environmental regulations, and talk of innane nonsense like clean coal.

Republicans sure as shit won't mind because they will more than likely feel way better about their chances of winning in 2020 with Mike Pence at the top of the ticket, and Democrats will sit back with their dicks up their ass patting themselves on the back pretending like they did something.

BTW this is not me even trying to argue about whether or not this will happen, but rather a chance for me to bump this thread when it inevitably happens so I can say I called it.

The only way I see Trump leaving before his 4 years are up is:

A. He gets pissed off over the constant negative coverage and ragequits.

B. Republicans lose enough seats in 2018 for some form of impeachment proceedings to happen (we have seen with Slick Willy it does not take much).

Before 2 years is incredibly unlikely, even if the "smoking gun" fell out of his ass on national tv. Government does not move fast.
