I agree with you. NYtimes is getting border line unprofessional, which will undercut their credibility. They should report as factual as possible and drop the sarcasm / cynical teenager style

I agree, but it seems unlikely there will be talks. What bothers me is that this is presented it is some kind of breakthtough, while it is the status quo it always was. Either ignorance or a deliberate misrepresentation is behind it and both are bad.
