Let's deconstruct this -
"Despite so many false statements and lies"
Trump is accusing Comey of perjury here as Comey was under oath in the hearings - that's quite a serious accusation to make and one you shouldn't levy without offering proof. Much like his tweet accusation about Obama personally ordering him tapped - Trump blasts off wild accusations without any basis in truth but will likely double down when challenged on this and expect Congressional investigation rather than admitting he has nothing.
How about Trump testifies under oath? No? How about Sessions is asked about if Trump asked him to leave so he could speak privately to Comey? How about Sessions testifies under oath if Comey did tell him never to leave him in the room with Trump alone again? How about Kushner testifies under oath if he was asked to leave the room with Sessions so that Comey and Trump were left alone together?
If Comey is lying and making false statements - prove it and he's committed perjury and can go to prison. If he's lying and making false statements offer up Sessions and Kushner under oath to rebut his charges. Hell Trump indicated there may be tapes - RELEASE THE TAPES and Comey goes to prison if he's lying like Trump is claiming. Why stop at a silly tweet claim? When what Comey is claiming is damning and putting your Presidency in peril?
"total and complete vindication"
Utterly delusional claim. No serious person could watch that testimony in full and come to this conclusion, even the most ardent partisan. The go to defense of congressional GOP now is that Trump is too stupid to have known better. Rep. Ryan claiming that Trump is an outsider and thus didn't understand the norms and boundaries that exist between the WH and the FBI. Chris Christie is saying pretty much the same, that that is how business leaders talk in NYC and Trump didn't know he was doing wrong. Of course if Trump didn't think he was going to be doing anything shady why did he twice Kushner and Sessions to leave so he could speak to Comey one-on-one? Sessions and Kushner lingered after being first asked to leave, with Comey sensing that they knew they shouldn't but then Trump asked them again.
"and WOW, Comey is a leaker!"
Pathetic spin attempt and totally fake news attempt. Comey was a private citizen thanks to Trump firing him. Conversations between the President are not instantly or automatically classified. What the GOP are really doing is calling Comey a snitch. You are not "leaking" your own private memo's to unclassified conversations.
Leaking classified information is a crime. Leaking non-classified information as a government employee isn't a crime but grounds for firing. A private citizen releasing his own private memo's is not leaking. Trump and the GOP spin are trying to lump him in with the former two to discredit him.
