He obviously thought here that the only benefit France has is trade from the EU.
He did something similar with Merkel he kept asking her for a separate trade deal and she tried to explain to him it is not possible.

Also, I think there is not much reporting about the Brexit on Fox and Friends.

Did he really think Macron would pull out of the EU, all for a trade deal with the US? Why would they give up their powerful position in the world's strongest union within their territory for a mere trade deal with a country so far away. What would they gain?
