Progressive influencers bought into it, it was so convincing. These are the kind of guys I listen to, and even then I don't trust them blindly. They've been wrong in my opinion, and thankfully had provided links to their proofs so people could make up their own minds.

Let me give you an example of what I'm talking about. They went to NPR masquerading as investors and said they'd offer millions but want guarantees that NPR would make Fox and Republicans look bad. They asked six times, and six times they were told there was no connection between investment and reporting. The seventh time they asked they said they were serious, and the NPR representative laughed and said he could tell, but that's not how it worked. The version PV presented was asking the one time and NPR laughing. That was caught on video and audio, but would you consider it honest?

Also yes: Why would I ever look at a partisan tabloid? A lot of the news we discuss is discussed by regular news, and Fox has the biggest network of affiliates in the country. Local news is rarely that partisan, and Fox affiliates reflect the news regular people want to hear.
