Not sure the intent of pardons was for huge groups of people to be let off. If this is felt necessary maybe we should look at a justice system and or our laws which allow huge groups of people to be convicted unjustly or inaccurately.

In my hypothetical world, if for whatever reason the president is unable or unwilling to write up, sign and justify the pardon then it's not valid... Reasons may include, time it takes, carpal tunnel, senility, etc... if these pardons are so important to a guy, maybe do two a night before bed... Also zero preemptively pardons, whatever those mean...

All the signatures sampled by Heritage Foundation were the same. But not because of autopen, but because the digitized records that get uploaded to the internet in fact do all use the same digitized signature that all Presidents submit to the Office of Federal Register.

The digitized copies for the J6 pardons on the DoJ site feature multiple similar but slightly different signatures that don't match his auto-pen signatures or the digitized signature used by the OFR.

So your idea is completely unworkable then under the current system. Got it.

That's not gonna happen if pardons stay in the executive. If you want pardons, I'd say do it like a lot of states and set up a board to handle it independently.
