Also it is very misleading to frame Affirmative Action as based on skin tone, you realize that Asians and Whites who claim to be of Hispanic origin get AA. Asian Americans will still be able to get into College in large numbers. Society is not fair, historical outcomes mean different groups are treated differently. Democrats just want to help uplift historically marginalized communities. I do think AA should be based on socioeconomic need, rather than ethnicity, gender and race.
