What Joe Biden said about racial jungles, when taken in context, isn't at all as appalling as Trump supporters make it out to be. If I flip it, and hold proportional outrage for for all Trump's actions and all of Biden's actions --- there will be an overwhelming amount of outrage directed at Trump. And this is the heart of the matter. Trump is far and away more offensive, racist, and corrupt than Biden or really anyone else.

You got to be f*king kidding me? As far as I can see Donald Trump is the only one trying to limit free speech his lawsuits against media for showing polls he don't like, his call to jail journalists who write stories that aren't favorable to him, proposals against social media that want to tag his rants that incite hate, fake news, or his utter bullsh!t etc, I've never seen the word "unprecedented" used to describe one presidents actions in so many events in my lifetime and I've been around for awhile and used in such a negative way.

Free speech like it or not is what you see right now marches, demonstrations, protests and some of the bullsh!t that comes with that right that is a democracy, and to think Biden would squash that is asinine the man in power is the only one I see trying to push America into his own dictatorship.

I usually try to follow Scott Adams 48 hour rule. If someone says something controversial or out of character or less than precise, they have 48 hours to clarify. If they clarify within that time, then it's fair to allow the clarification stand. This is a standard we would all want to be judged under in the event we say something imprecise.

I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt because we have all inadvertently sent things via text or social media. But this will require an explanation.

Fair points; although I would add in "good" before explanation, too often this President falls back onto the dodgy ground of "being sarcastic" or "joking". I know explanations like that convince simple folk like @HereticBD, but some of us are less easily fooled.
