The fact that it can be done so easily, is the disturbing part. I find it odd so many are willing to stick up for the media, for being called out on their lies. Why should the media have free reign to say whatever the fuck they want, control the narrative, and never be held accountable? The President is held accountable, and called out, so why not them? He's planting seeds of doubt in the public's consciousness, as to their credibility. Credibility that they so willingly tossed away, by lying so much, and printing tabloid nonsense? Good. Blow it up. Bring some fucking standards back. The media is an embarrassment these days, and it's not because Trump said so.

All I'm saying is, if the media wants to play the clickbait, tabloid rag game, they shouldn't be surprised when they're treated as such, and that their lies have damaged their credibility and efforts to report the truth. Wild idea here, but maybe just stick to the truth? Maybe not give Trump any ammunition? Maybe, just maybe, the trust with the public will go up, when they start holding themselves up to the standards they claim to have.

Because almost none of these transgressions are considerable or substantive.

And they're not being called out on lies: they're being called out on their focus on (real, sourced) silliness like the ice cream scoops shit, which is driven by market forces in the first place.

He's indicting the factual accuracy of news outlets, when the media is far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far more factually accurate than Trump (or any politician, really) is.

This would be at least consistent if he was targeting FNC, which has objectively reported on and furthered more disproved, actual "fake" news, i.e. Seth Rich and Obama birther shit. Yet none of the right were harping on when Glenn Beck was doing his chalkboard anagrams showing that Obama was a jihadi-atheist communist.

Obama attacked Fox News a plenty. I'm sure you were just outraged at a politician having the nerve to call out the "free press", when Obama did it, right?

All you're exuding is a double standard. Call out Fox News for lying? Oh', that's cool. Call out the Liberal networks for lying? That's HORRIFYING!

Are you incapable of nuance? I just said the difference was substantive-ness. CNN, MSNBC, CBS, etc. have not engaged in the level of inaccurate and professionally lacking conduct that FNC did. Are they focusing on the trivial for the sake of ratings? Sure, but that's not the same thing.

Also, LOL @ even trying to compare Obama to Trump on anti-news rhetoric.

It's incredible what lengths people go to to normalize this guy.

Obama usually "attacked" Fox News at White House Correspondence dinners and more informal events, and he usually said it in a joking/humorous fashion. And these people perpetuated the idea that our President was literally un-American. He didn't continually attack Fox News like Trump does everyone else.

CNN is still shit, though.

And to that I say bullshit. CNN has turned into the Liberal Fox News. You either don't pay much attention to them, and are simply uninformed on how low they've slid over the past few years, or you're just choosing not believe it, because they confirm your bias.
