International Trump/Putin Summit

You are blocked... Add nothing to any conversation and literally troll every thread. Aint got no time for you son. lol
Waaahhh, zebby blocked me.
I add plenty, gloryhole face. I've laid out my positions and the reasons behind them throughout this thread. You not so much.

My dad's rants (and thus mine) is more the aspect of how it appears he never really tried to escape even after his bones had healed and how other people prop him up like a hero for not succumbing to torture (virtually, there's always talk he filmed propaganda for the VC but meh) when my dad was like "well, that's his fucking job... it's like celebrating the janitor took the trash bag to the dumpster"
I would say it's any absurdly inapt comparison between soldier in battle and janitor in overalls.

Huh? There are already 6 guilty pleas and something like 30 indictments, what are you talking about? Even if the investigation ended now it's a huge success.
Huge or yuge?

It's not just talk, McCain himself acknowledges that he ended up giving up coordinates and took part in a propaganda video after being tortured.

Not that it's a source of great shame, but his performance in the war is about what you'd expect from a soldier. He only became more distinguished from the rest, because of his last name. There were plenty of dudes who never received any medals due to being taken captive and tortured, who probably exhibited about the same level of heroism and competency as McCain did.

Was McCain a soldier? Yes. But I would not call him a war hero. He did his duty like the rest.

Paul Ryan - "There is no question that Russia interfered in our election and continues attempts to undermine democracy here and around the world," said Ryan, a Republican from Wisconsin, in a statement. "That is not just the finding of the American intelligence community but also the House Committee on Intelligence."

John Cornyn - "I don't know (whether) the President is trying to use some sort of carrots and stick approach with Putin but I believe the intelligence community," Cornyn told CNN, adding that the recent indictments from special counsel Robert Mueller's probe are "spot on."

John McCain - Sen. John McCain, an Arizona Republican who has consistently criticized the President, said Trump's comments were "one of the most disgraceful performances by an American president in memory."

Bob Corker - the President "made us look like a pushover" and that Putin was probably eating caviar on the plane home.
"I was very disappointed and saddened with the equivalency that he gave between them (the US intelligence agencies) and what Putin was saying," said Corker, a Tennessee Republican who is not seeking re-election.

Liz Cheney - "As a member of the House Armed Services Committee, I am deeply troubled by President Trump's defense of Putin against the intelligence agencies of the U.S. & his suggestion of moral equivalence between the U.S. and Russia. Russia poses a grave threat to our national security," said Rep. Liz Cheney, a Wyoming Republican

Trey Goudy - "I am confident former CIA Director and current Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, DNI Dan Coats, Ambassador Nikki Haley, FBI Director Chris Wray, Attorney General Jeff Sessions and others will be able to communicate to the President it is possible to conclude Russia interfered with our election in 2016 without delegitimizing his electoral success," Gowdy said in a statement.

Lindsey Graham - "Missed opportunity by President Trump to firmly hold Russia accountable for 2016 meddling and deliver a strong warning regarding future elections," Graham tweeted. "This answer by President Trump will be seen by Russia as a sign of weakness and create far more problems than it solves."

Jeff Flake - "I never thought I would see the day when our American President would stand on the stage with the Russian President and place blame on the United States for Russian aggression. This is shameful," tweeted Flake, who is not running for re-election.

Elizabeth Warren - "Once again, @realDonaldTrump takes to the international stage to embarrass America, undermine our institutions, weaken our alliances, & embrace a dictator. Russia interfered in our elections & attacked our democracy. Putin must be held accountable -- not rewarded. Disgraceful," Warren tweeted.

Tim Kaine - "This is a sad, shameful moment for our great nation. We will reclaim our values and reassert our global leadership. We'll turn the page on this dark chapter. But it won't happen on its own. We all must stand up—to side with U.S. law enforcement and to protect all Americans," Kaine said.

LOL. Almost all are never-Trumpers, saying never-Trumper shit, and somehow I'm supposed to be impressed?

Nothing that points to to Trump colluding with Russia, though. The whole point of this farce, remember?
The emails got hacked? We already knew that. And it occurred under Obama.

My dad is 80 and a bit of a hardass. His response the last time I asked him about McCain:
"I hope he enjoys his retirement, and I'll be glad I don't have to hear about him like he dragged 40 dudes off a cliff surrounded by enemy like the guy that SpiderMan portrayed in that movie. He got shot down, didn't give up troop locations, but never attempted to escape. In terms of job grade for that situation.. I give him a solid B-"

EDIT:
To sum it up the problem my dad has with McCain is the same problem a ton of people on this site had with Tim Kennedy when he was an active fighter. The military service always comes up to his benefit.

I know with Brian Stann the UFC used his Silver Star as a means to promote him as a war hero but Stann never seemed to reference his service (that I remember) in interviews unless he was asked about it whereas Kennedy it seemed to always be a topic of conversation.

Granted, Kennedy was a Ranger/Green Beret while Stann was simply a Marine so that might be part of it... but at the same time.. Rangers refer to themselves as "Quiet professionals" which is the complete opposite of like SEALs cause SEALs are like fucking vegans and crossfitters, that's the first thing about themselves they say.

People think Trump is a compromised Russian agent or some shit, but he just really likes dictators. He consistently is nicer to and about strongmen than he is democratic allies. He's impressed and intimidated by them. He's probably quite annoyed that pesky checks and balances prevent him from being one.

Do you have any indication whatsoever that Russia has designs on any E. European countries? A source?
I'll wait.

Wait for what? Its not liek they've invaded two east european countries within the last few years.

LOL. Almost all are never-Trumpers, saying never-Trumper shit, and somehow I'm supposed to be impressed?

So if someone previously recognized any failings of Trump, they can never again be trusted? Seems more like you're in a cult than just someone with interest in and opinions about the news.

Anyone with a brain should be a never trumper.

Are you ok with Trump blaming the US for Russia election meddling?

Oh man, you got me. I want everyone's life to suck, so I can be right. Soon my nefarious plan of shitting all over rightwing economic policy will come to fruition, when the economy tanks and people starve to death.

Hooray!!! The thing I constantly rail against is happening! How could I not be thrilled?
You do. You would rather see grief and poverty than see Trump succeed . That's not a stretch. You never say these things prefaced by "I'm afraid " or the like . You frequently speculate on and even beg for takers on your macabre bets based on Trump impeachment or war with Iran. Yes and it's ENTIRELY within YOUR CHARACTER to be just that despicable. Exactly so,

I've read Steinbeck's "Of Mice and Men". I know how this story ends already.
