then again, i lived a few years in downtown manhattan....then a few years in a rough and tumble neighborhood in philadelphia and now live in charlotte NC, which has a host of illegal immigrants. so i guess i've lived around them as an adult.

I don’t want our system of governance changed. You’re the one advocating that by:

A) You personally support that our laws are being broken via illegal immigration across the southern border, on a massive scale. And want it to continue.

B) The Trump administrations plan to build a border wall is in response to the violence, drug, and social liabilities that are flooding across the southern border, illegally. Walls have been proven to work for hundreds of years. And your position is that I sound dumb because democracts in Congress support our laws being broken and are trying to subvert the plan that a duly elected president ran and won on to stop it. That’s not only dumb, it’s obstruction to the laws that govern our country and they way it’s designed to operate.

Whatever state you're from needs to fund their schools better because you clearly don't have any idea about the way in which our government is set up.

Just because someone is elected president does not mean their campaign promises get rubber stamped and shoved through by default. That is not how our government has ever worked, it's not how it's designed to work, and it's not how it currently works.

If a president wants to get his agenda accomplished they need to cultivate support in the legislature for it. Sometimes that comes easy and the president has a Congress voted in aligned with his views. Other times that is not the case, this is one of those times. In those cases the president needs to secure support through compromise because his agenda is not the agenda of the legislature he needs to pass his bills. Some of them having been elected on diametrically opposed platforms to the president. And yet you expect the to abandon their constituents for nothing.

This is 4th grade checks and balances stuff. You think that Democrats in the House and Senate should blindly support the president's agenda despite their constituents not being for that agenda. An agenda that us not supported by the majority of Americans from a president that didn't even win the popular vote.

This is America, he is president, not king, not czar, not emperor. Go retake civics class.
