Trump makes surprise appearance in WH briefing room, touts border wall support

I’m from America. I agree with Obama.

“Elections have consequences”.

And the most recent election has the consequence of Democrats controlling the house.

Not just the elections you like the result of count.

I disagree on the biased part. He ran and won election on it. It should be funded. If Killary (no bias!) ran on knocking the existing wall down and won I’d support that.

At this point it’s obvious to me that those who do not support implementing the wall, after the election determined what the American people wanted, hold the bias.

So whover wins the election gets to do whatever they want. No more three branches of government thing.

Sounds dumb.

So we went from a campaign promise that Mexico would pay for it, to now shutting down the government to extort the american taxpayer to pay for it because you don't have the votes for it on your own.

And his supporters couldn't care less.
Who cares about the things he says.

Have the Mexicans started paying for it yet?

Have the Mexicans started paying for it yet?
As long as we're accepting bullshit, let's just say they've already paid for it. Trump's voters will believe it.
Then as the bills come in, simply shift that burden to some other expenditure so it looks good.
Winning!

Most of the American people do not support a wall.

A vote for Trump doesn't mean someone supported the wall, just as a vote for Clinton doesn't disqualify that voter from thinking the wall is a good idea. Voting for Trump because of the wall doesn't even mean you support this current effort because 1) he projected it to be far less expensive then it's going to be and 2) Mexico was suppose to pay for it.

You want our system of governance changed to placate the campaign slogans of a politician that does not have the popular mandate you think he does, so much so he didn't even win the majority of voters (just enough based on the system of governance you want upended)

That's fucking dumb man.

I don’t want our system of governance changed. You’re the one advocating that by:

A) You personally support that our laws are being broken via illegal immigration across the southern border, on a massive scale. And want it to continue.

B) The Trump administrations plan to build a border wall is in response to the violence, drug, and social liabilities that are flooding across the southern border, illegally. Walls have been proven to work for hundreds of years. And your position is that I sound dumb because democracts in Congress support our laws being broken and are trying to subvert the plan that a duly elected president ran and won on to stop it. That’s not only dumb, it’s obstruction to the laws that govern our country and they way it’s designed to operate.

First time in the Briefing Room, spouts off a bunch if shit, and walks out like a pussy.

A man to be proud of

hi there Letssnuggle,

lol.

ok, then they'll do the remittances through banks. or credit unions. or bitcoin.

and that'll be that.

you'll need another idea for the revenue to build this wall.

Have you lived around illegal immigrants? I lived around tons of them here in Houston and worked with them a lot throughout highschool\college. Your making it sound way easier than it is. Fucking Bitcoin? lol. Not one illegal immigrant I've ever been friends\worked with would know what the fuck to do with bitcoin. These are people who are cashing their paychecks at the local gas station and your talking about them using bitcoin?

Are you from America? You don't seem to know how our system of governance operates. When you become President, you have to compromise and fight for the things you want. Donald Trump, a year ago, was promised 25 billion for his wall, and rejected it. He has yet to spend the money already allocated towards the wall. Neither the democrats, nor his own party care about the wall, as evidenced by the unanimous vote on funding the government before the shutdown, which he rejected.

You don't deserve to get what you want when you repeatedly fail to negotiate, and undermine your position, as he did when he was baited by a grandma on national television. This shutdown is nothing but him squirming because he thinks his base will abandon him.

I don't think the cult members would at this point. He could blame it all on the democrats and move on like he always does, absent any and all responsibility. Does he do that? No, he folds his arms, bitches and complains about the state of affairs he largely created.
And let's hundreds of thousands of American suffer for it without pay during the Holidays.

Nah. If we could fund the rebuilding of General Motors with repayment made later then we can definitely fund the rebuilding of our border wall the same way.

Chickens come home to roost.
How do you propose this wall will make a profit to pay us back?

They should try some type of government sponsored gofundme and build as much wall as they raise funds for. @Letssnuggle how much would you be willing to donate out of your own pocket for this? You can be reimbursed by Mexico when they get around to it.

you're American and you apparently do not know how our government works...

you should just stop commenting on anything political until you understand it more...

Just because a President campaigned on a topic doesn't mean the American people support it. We have Congressmen and Senators to represent their constituents in government. He was elected President but has to follow our laws and rules. He wasn't crowned King.

If literally winning the election isn’t enough to convince you, you’re clearly biased.

Are law enforcement agencies for-profit? No, they serve as entities to protect and serve. Why should the wall be for-profit?
Because when we has the Great Recession and bailed these companies out we held preferential stock, imposed restrictions, and as they recovered they paid us back. Saying we should do the same for a wall doesn't make any sense.
