The border is immoral, you heard the speaker of the house. Impeach!

IM-PEACH!

I'm vaccinated! Coincidence?

Curious, though. What does Vaccinations have to do with :

1.) The subject matter of this thread

and

2.) Trump not answering questions which caused Liberals' Periods to occur

I guess when all else fails, you just come up with shit out of nowhere.

Cares so much about border security that his government shutdown is causing them not to be able to do their job. Awesome.

"President Trump, with the aid of a few skinheads, touts support for racist border wall."

Will you visit the wall once it's built?

Those jobs are essential hence still fully operational albeit without paychecks. How are they being hindered at doing their job? Honest questions cause I don’t know

Trump needed to this weeks ago

hiya AlexDB9,

weeks ago it was early December.

wasn't it around that time that President Trump proudly proclaimed to Senator Schumer, "I’ll tell you what: I am proud to shut down the government for border security, Chuck. I will take the mantle.”

see, the thing is, if Mr. Trump had shut the government down a few weeks ago, its likely that he would have had to assume the mantle, as he put it, for the shutdown.

alas, Mr. Trump had a lucid moment and decided, capriciously, that he no longer wanted to take said mantle any longer, so he had to wait a week or two.

a week or two is a pretty long time.

its not unreasonable to say that many Americans forgot his errant December 11th "i will take the mantle" moment in the days that passed, allowing him (cagey fellow that he is) to pull a fast one on all of us and say that it was the Democrats fault all along.

so he had to wait a bit.

No reason to talk to them. They are all liberals, and everyone knows it.

Obama can joke with them that they all voted for him, and they all laugh and clap.
Very few people in the media voted for Reagan but he got along well with the media, until the economy went south on their watch so do did HW and GW Bush. At the same time the media painted Al Gore to be some wooden, serial lying geek who isn't the type of you would want to sit down and have a beer with, spent the entire 2016 campaign trying to make Hillary's email's seem like a 21st century Watergate. Please spare me.

The press then and the press today aren't the same thing.

Hey bro. I would have liked to see him amass the press, border security people, victims of illegal immigration crime etc and stress the importance of his wall and border security to the nation long before the shutdown. You make a good point though, I’m guessing his strategy is “make the dems look like they don’t care about border security” for as long as he can

This president has a rather disastrous need to be agreed with about everything, by everyone.

Other presidents have had a contentious yet jovial relationship with the press because before Trump they all understood that plenty of the press they get is good for them.

hola 58miles,

good post.

i wanted to add, though, that in here and now - 2019 - the pound for pound kings of "media" are;

newspapers - Wall Street Journal

cable news - Fox

radio - Limbaugh

these three entties are the "mainstream media" nowadays. so lol on the idea that the right is under siege from a hostile press.
