You turn CNN on and you see their anchors and commentators with their puppy faces when they talk Trump. Acting like victims of this unfair crusade against them.

Just read an article about them seeking out the Reddit user who I guess made that gif though I could've sworn its existed since the campaign cycle...ya know..because CNN has been firmly anti Trump since the jump.

The article is simply bullying a Reddit user. Even with a thinly veiled threat to ruin him publicly with expose of "anti-semitic" posts should he "act up" again. For now, they're happy to make him squirm. One can interpret it as CNN flexing their muscles to the public since they're 0 for the term vs. Unapolegetic Trump...but they sure made this regular Joe dance for them over a fuckin joke.

Glad to see the CNN investigative team is good for seeking out and threatening citizens when their so ham handed in regards to their desire to invent a Trump scandal and on vacation when it comes to investigating liberals.

CNN aren't victims. They, along with others are trying to control how you think through lies, omission, and misleading narratives.

On Tuesday, CNN’s Andrew Kaczynski published a report in which he claimed to have identified the Reddit user behind the doctored video. That user had gone by the name HanAssholeSolo on Reddit. Kaczynski wrote that he “was able to determine key biographical details, to find the man's name using a Facebook search and ultimately corroborate details he had made available on Reddit.” He attempted to contact HanAssholeSolo, who did not respond.

In apparent anticipation of the CNN story, HanAssholeSolo deleted his other posts on a section of Reddit called /The_Donald, where many right-wing memes originate. Some of the other Reddit posts by HansAssholeSolo included plainly racist imagery and ideation, as well as insinuations that CNN was controlled by a Jewish cabal, an image of the White House with mosque-like minarets and a map conflating Democratic voters with urban criminality.

Kaczynski said that the Reddit user subsequently made contact and that he “sounded nervous about his identity being revealed and asked to not be named out of fear for his personal safety and for the public embarrassment it would bring to him and his family.”

Prominent alt-right supporters of Trump — and of his divisive Twitter habit — took to social media to denounce Kaczynski and his “doxing” of the Reddit user, a term for publicly revealing the real-life identity behind an Internet account or persona (Kaczynski did not actually reveal HanAssholeSolo’s identity, thus invalidating the doxing accusation).

The trending hashtag, #CNNBlackmail, made clear what many on the right thought about Kaczynski’s conditions of anonymity. Among the critics was Julian Assange of Wikileaks, which published troves of emails from Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign over the summer.

Isn't doxxing more just publishing personal info of known people who do something f'd up or you otherwise disagree with? Doesn't Reddit use doxxing as a weapon themselves in the past? Or is that more a 4chan/Anon thing? Why do the reddit trolls believe their anonymity is sacrosanct? This person is scared for their safety and embarrassment it would bring his family - maybe he should have thought about that before posting his racist shit.

Now some have said that the person behind this account is 15 yrs old, and CNN has said they will not publish the name of the person because they apologized and promised not to troll anymore. While the K-File guy who uncovered the identity never mentioned the age, this "deal" makes one believe that it could be the case. If it was some 30 yr old basement dweller I think he would have been named.
