Trump has broken the law again. He is promoting Jr's book.

As long as he doesn't use the title of President, or refer to any U.S. authority, to help promote the book, he should be fine.

https://www.law.cornell.edu/cfr/text/5/2635.702

He can do this as Donald Trump, just not President Trump. He cannot say that the White House endorses this book, but he can say that he endorses the book.

"Example 4:
An Assistant Attorney General may not use his official title or refer to his Government position in a book jacket endorsement of a novel about organized crime written by an author whose work he admires. Nor may he do so in a book review published in a newspaper."

"Example 1:
A Commissioner of the Consumer Product Safety Commission may not appear in a television commercial in which she endorses an electrical appliance produced by her former employer, stating that it has been found by the CPSC to be safe for residential use."
That's fucking unethical.

Holy shit that is so inapproriate it's hard to fathom why he would say that. Ivanka is always cringing hard whenever he talks about how sexual and beautiful she is.
"Look at how fuckable my daughter is! Shame I can't tap that!"

"The President is the President of the United States, so they're considered official statements by the President of the United States," - Sean Spicer when he was The Press Secretary.

And even more, Trump was sued for blocking users on twitter and the court ruled that Trump cant do that.

"We do conclude, however, that the First Amendment does not permit a public official who utilizes a social media account for all manner of official purposes to exclude persons from an otherwise‐open online dialogue because they expressed views with which the official disagrees," - Judge Parker (Bush Appointee)

so with those two things at work, Trump isn't tweeting as a regular citizen, his tweets are official Presidential tweets.

I’m so outraged by this !!!! That’s it, I’m declaring Trump literally Hitler

But I guess this isn’t it

You know who'll buy and read this book? The people who hate him.

If it wasn't for Trump haters, I would never know what Trump says on twitter.

Crazy people hung up on stupid shit. Is normal.

Trump has normalized lawlessness. It's both hilarious and sad how easily this psychopath has brainwashed the right to be under his tiny thumb.

It's almost as if the right likes bragging about how much power this man has over them and how powerful and strong he is. Extremely bizarre and cuckish behaviour.

It's undecided law. What we are trying to avoid are conflicts of interest for tax paying Americans. I cannot see this post rising to the level that would meet wtevr standard a court could come up with for "twits." Then again, maybe they would decide to stop presidents from using Twitter in a mix of personal and quasi-professional ways. That also wouldn't surprise me. For now, the eye test tells me that citizen Donald Trump made that twit, and that he did not explicitly use the office to encourage or persuade individuals to do business with him or his family. Again, a court could create elements in a future case that restrict what Trump did.

You sound deranged. Get off CNN.

"I love my son. He wrote a great book. Enjoy it!" = evil lawless man brainwashing masses. Dude, you're proof CNN is doing all the real damage. Stop watching it. I'm serious.

My opinion would be the exact same as if this book never existed. Make sure to lube up for your narcissist though, he'll make sure to clean your ass off with the constitution when he's finished.

Damn, he is such an idiot. Is there anyone left around him, that will tell him he cant do things like this or have they all resigned.
I doubt the Lickspittles will care, because they seem to support all his law breaking.
Also this is...….

It.

With all the dumb, vile, and corrupt shit politicians do...I really don't think he's worried about some BS like this.
