Trump: Government will not reopen until we have a wall, a fence, whatever they want to call it

Change the constitution then on guns. Short of that, I don't trust you, or anyone saying this because you refuse to follow the law to do what you say you want.

You want to see real authoritarianism. Let's look at Dems on guns. Apparently the constitution doesn't apply to them, or at least that is how it seems when law, after law the Dems pass on guns is struck down by the supreme Court.

Open boarders is some fringe BS. Amnesty is not.

I won't fault you for not trusting them but the constitution itself does not way guarantee there can never be any limits and increased qualifications and training placed on gun owners and ownership.

Okay, per your sources he threatened to stop remittances, but your last source also says they'll find ways around it and that no one in Mexico plans to capitulate to Trump.

Alberto Ramos, head of Latin America research at Goldman Sachs (GS), says that when wire services charged high fees a decade ago, Mexicans still got their money across the border either in-person, through the mail or via traveling relatives.

"If you tax that money it won't necessarily stay in the U.S. It can still go to Mexico through informal channels," says Ramos.

It seems thus far like "half baked" is the correct description of Trump's "plan".

You're talking about stopping remittances. Despite not giving any specific examples of how Mexicans would continue to move this money outside the United States, let's assume that stopping or taxing remittances both proved to be ineffective.

There were additional steps outlined by Mr. Trump to make Mexico pay for the wall, such are renegotiating NAFTA (which he's already done):

Trump Reaches Revised Trade Deal With Mexico, Threatening to Leave Out Canada
https://www.nytimes.com/2018/08/27/us/politics/us-mexico-nafta-deal.html

Trump additionally suggested having Mexico pay through Tariffs. Specifically, they currently pay tariffs on Steel and Aluminum. The NAFTA renegotiation also freed Trump up to slap additional tariffs of up to 25% on Mexican Auto Parts:

U.S.-Mexico trade deal may allow Trump to put tariffs of up to 25% on Mexican auto imports
https://globalnews.ca/news/4415594/us-mexico-trade-deal-trump-tariffs-auto/

You can read through the links I provided in this post and the previous one for more details about how the revised trade deals will benefit the U.S. economy, specifically in regards to trade and manufacturing. If you're interested, that is. But my guess is you aren't. You aren't interested in discussion or increasing awareness. You're interested in pushing your emotional, anti-Trump agenda. So let me save you the time:

Orange Man Bad.

Immigration was a net negative during the Obama presidency..... that means more illegals leaving than coming over......

We should thank bush and the banksters for that. If they wouldn't have crashed the economy, illegal immigration would have never stopped increasing.

How is Trump going to nuke 60-40 and why would that be good? How is nixing something that requires a majority so that one person can make the decision alone not harming the democratic process? I'm trying in earnest to understand this.

It's VIVA, man. Just enjoy the show. :D

Lol at this thread. Hey republicans, guess what. Dems have the house now. Another supreme Court nominee from Trump would never make it past the house.
Is the answer as simple as intersectionalism, or is it that racial intersectionalism isn't politically viable for dems, and yet gender is? If that is the latter, I might have to think about becoming a white nationalist.
Let me be clear. I'm not being hyperbolic. There are 100's of international bankers that should be declared terrorists, and drone bombed.

We could simply aggressively prosecute anyone employing illegals, increase tech and end the drug war and it would have more effect.

Dude, many Dems have called for open boarders, and gun bans.

You maybe able to convince me they are just playing to the room when they do this, but let's stop pretending that politicians with a D next to their name aren't calling for these things.

The information does not support your assertion. The information shows that the decline started in 2000, and decreased during the economic crash, and the growth period after.

It doesnt, but it strictly limits how you can restrict access. Time after Time, how the Dems try to do that, gets struck down.

Handgun bans, unconstitutional. Doesn't stop Dem after Dem from trying to pass this law.

Assault rifle ban should be unconstitutional, and yet that seems very popular on the left these days.

How did we get to a point where Dems want the party to violate the US Constitution?

There should be zero illegals entering. Even if they leave they’re a drain while they’re in the country. That’s the point. And they have no right to enter to begin with lol. Stop spinning your open border BS

So the decline started after the .com bubble, and 9-11 crash? Shocking.

In my dreams we would do that. But not gonna happen

Just weird how crazy dems are about this wall. At this point I actually think Mexico might even be cool with it

Only in your peanut head do illegals walk over the border and then turn around and walk back out.

That’s not what happens.

They sit in the country for years leeching off socialist programs and healthcare and more costing billions while giving nothing back. And they send billions home.

Your reasoning is bizarre to say the least. Are you deliberately acting daft lol
Illegal immigrants don't have access to social programs for the most part, outside from emergency services. There's a tiny few exceptions here-and-there, but even then, they (and low income people in general) receive FAR less welfare than the people at the top, and that is why the people at the top use them as a scapegoat while they take off with the money

Sounds like you support the stupid wall so you can keep your guns. That is not very intelligent IMO sounds tribal even.

No one who is concerned with effectiveness is for it. It won't do what it is supposed to do.

Honestly I don't give a shit about the wall. if the Dems traded the wall for a Coke and smile, I would say they got a good deal.
