Elections Trump for POTUS mega thread

we probably won't know for a couple of days after the election. it's probably going to be the same deal as 2020.

i wouldn't expect there to be a clear winner of the election projected until later on in the week, probably on the weekend, because there's still going to be a shit load of absentee ballots in the swing states and they have to wait until election night to start counting them.

and then you'll have the usuals on election night doing their usual "how come they don't have a winner? why is it taking so long to count votes? they must be cheating!" dance, completely oblivious to the fact that their own party are the ones to be blaming for this, as they were the ones who brought the new restrictions into legislation and created these problems.
They can start processing mail in ballots when the polls open at 7am in PA

So just got this, apparently the Harris campaign sent this to canvassers(approx timing) of election calls they're expecting so it'll take 1-3 days apparently depending on how close it is:

If she HOLDS the bluewall, it'll be over by Wednesday morning, if she doesn't it's going to end in 3 or so days.

damn. they are also expecting it to drag on in michigan too. i dont know what the deal is there, they are allowed to start counting absentee ballots early now over there.

if you've got your champagne and popcorn out for tuesday awaiting a winner you're gonna end up disappointed. i don't expect this shit to be called until the weekend. those folks in nevada only know how to count cards, not votes. when it comes to nevada getting election results in on a timely manner, you got a better chance of getting hit in the face with a dick when it's raining pussy outside.

Possibly, though if she wins NC or GA or MI by by Tuesday night/Wednesday morning the situation will look EXTREMELY dire for Trump. I have a feeling we'll find out by Wednesday night whose going to win.

The best way for this MAGA vs the world thing to end is to end it with a landslide.

i mean this election probably won't be called until pennyslvania has a winner. kamala would have to be absolutely crushing trump in pretty much all the other swing states or vice versa.

pennsylvania wasn't even all that close in 2020 in the grand scheme of things, but it still took them 4 days to call the state and ultimately the election. they haven't really done anything to help speed their vote counting process up, so i'm just gonna have to figure that it's gonna be the same shit all over again and we'll have to wait until saturday to get a winner just because of the shit that goes down in pennsylvania, and michigan and those geriatrics over in vegas counting cards instead of votes.

Final prediction from me,
Gonna mention you guys as i wanted to see where you stand as we had legit conversations
@filthybliss @idrankyourbeer @Islam Imamate @PEB @emefer

It'll be 292(She wins PA, MI, WI, NV, and NC) - 246(Trump Wins AZ, GA)
I don't follow the polls enough to give you a final EC prediction but I'm feeling confident that she has the upper hand going into election day. But as I've said before its still very close and anything can happen.

NBC files FCC 'equal time' notice after Kamala Harris appears on 'SNL'

NBC has filed a notice with the Federal Communications Commission and will provide former President Donald Trump with "equal time" following a brief appearance by Vice President Kamala Harris on "Saturday Night Live."

Harris appeared on the sketch comedy show Saturday hosted by John Mulaney, in a skit offering advice in the mirror to comedian Maya Rudolph, who has played Harris in the leadup to the election.

Following her brief stint on the show, FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr posted on X, formerly Twitter that it was a "clear and blatant effort to evade the FCC's Equal Time rule." Carr, a senior Republican on the commission who was appointed by Trump, went on in the post to suggest NBC should offer equal time to "other qualifying campaigns."

In the notice filed Sunday, NBC said Harris appeared "without charge" on "SNL" for 1 minute and 30 seconds. The broadcaster provided Trump airtime Sunday, CNN's Brian Stelter reported, giving the former president an opportunity to directly address viewers during the NASCAR 2024 Cup playoff race.

What is the FCC's equal time rule?

The FCC's equal time rule requires American radio and television broadcast stations to provide equal access to competing political candidates. The rules do not apply to cable channels or other video content, including podcasts or social media.

If Donald Trump were to request equal time from NBC after Harris' appearance on "SNL," the broadcaster would have to provide it before Election Day on Tuesday.

NBC by law has to give Donald Trump equal air time because Kamala Harris appeared on SNL.

Suddenly the Fairness Doctrine doesnt seem as unreasonable as Conservatards made it seem when Reagan dismantled it.

uhhhh, the des moines media/mediacom iowa poll has harris up a few points on trump

but they have a small sample size.

i don't really put much stock into polls, but there's been all this hubbub about kamala taking iowa after a few other reliable polls called it for harris, and i dont want to believe it because i've managed to convince myself that iowa is trump country. maybe thats not the case. that would surprise me way more than kamala taking north carolina.

For what it's worth, it has been one of the most reliable polls in the country over the last decade. I've watched a few Ann Selzer interviews and she just straight up attributes it to the abortion issue.

If it ends up being as accurate as it has been historically, then it is awful news for Trump.

However, I'm taking this with a Chinese buffet sized grain of NaCl
