Elections Trump for POTUS mega thread

Donold is 5'11 without lifts, I'd say...

so i guess tiny has shrunk alot, after magically and mysteriously growing an inch and losing 25 pounds between april to july last year.

why elect somebody for president who is deteriorating and not all there in the head? wasn't that what the repukes based their entire 2024 election campaign off of, until dementia joe dropped out?

oh wait, not like that right?

I love when Trump says Bill Barr is a fat slob.

Signs of Mental Decline in ‘Confused, Incoherent’ Trump’s Speeches: NYT Analysis

"An increasingly incoherent and profane former president Donald Trump, 78, is blathering on at his rallies at previously unheard-of lengths and showing signs of confusion that could indicate mental decline, according to a New York Times analysis.

An average rally speech by the elderly Republican nominee for president—who has promised to release his medical records and cognitive tests and then refused to do so—lasts 82 minutes this election cycle, nearly double the 45 minutes he averaged in 2016, a computer analysis by the newspaper found.

In addition to Trump’s well documented rambling, repetitive and winding addresses—punctuated with strange asides about things like his “beautiful” bodyamong the potential signs of cognitive change are that he curses 69 percent more in speeches than he did in 2016. That could be a sign of disinhibition, a kind of impulsivity that is sometimes attributed to mental decline in old age, the Times said.

The newspaper also said its analysis found Trump used negative words 32 percent more negative words than positive ones, up considerably from 21 percent in 2016, another potential indicator of cognitive change.

He also uses he uses 13 percent more “all-or-nothing” terms such as “always” or “never” compared to 2016, another potential sign of advanced age.

Meanwhile, Trump’s seeming obsession with the past—his ramblings have been dotted with stale cultural references to Silence of the Lambs, Johnny Carson, Michael Jackson, Cary Grant, and Charles Lindburgh—have not only dated him, but earned a raised eyebrow from one expert in August."

Was that some kind of slip up mixing Melania and Elon?

"If Elon was my kid I'd want to fuck him too". Trump probably.

fair point. it appears as if he is thinking about his wife while he's getting blown.

at least it's not his daughter this time. that's a step in the right direction.

We really need to have a poll again to see how many people still think the 2020 elections were rigged. I could use the laugh.

Has to be one of the funniest threads I've ever read. Their entire Quixotic journey ended with @second sight panic wrestling with "evidence" that ended up being a gay porn star in costumes for his roles haha. Looks like he hasn't posted at all in many months. RIP legend.

i thought that guy got banned.

The reasons people say they leave Donald Trump’s rallies early

"Less than 25 minutes into Donald Trump’s remarks, Melissa Prescott walked out.

She arrived at the Linda Ronstadt Music Hall in Tucson at 8:30 a.m. on a hot September day, waited in line outside with her teen daughter for more than four hours, then waited another hour inside before Trump took the stage about 2:15 p.m. As Trump was complaining about 2016 exit polls and speaking about how he likes “the old people the best,” Prescott, along with dozens of others, started trickling out.

“I’m glad we got in. I wish I could stay to hear more,” said Prescott, 36, who explained that she needed to go pick up her disabled cousin.

Trump repeatedly has resisted entreaties from advisers and allies to cut down on his speeches. “They want a show. They want two hours,” Trump said this year to an ally who suggested shorter speeches. Like others, the ally spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe a private conversation.

Anastasia Bennett, 22, quickly grew tired of the insults and was ready to leave. Bennett was undecided before attending the rally with her aunt, who supports Harris. But after hearing Trump speak, she said she planned to vote for Harris.

“It was the insults and just being an hour late,” she said."

Someone did a study "a study" on Trump speechs from 2016 compared them in length in 2024. He stated that 2016 took 45 mins. 2024 take an average of 85 mins in 2024.

Getting older and his mind is meandering.

I would rack it up to mostly Trump not knowing what to talk about. I suspect that when he talks about things, he just scans the room to see if he is getting any sort of reaction. He is losing his grip on people so I think he just bounces around trying to find a triggering topic but he doesn't know what the secret trigger is anymore. In his first election, it was to "drain the swamp" but that won't work this cycle. I think he is horrendous in debates because he has nothing to feed off of from the crowd. He is just left with impartial moderators who are baffled by his buzzword nonsense. He keeps slamming immigrants and that will play to his base but won't for undecided or left central voters. The group that cost him the election was suburban professionals and they don't get triggered by immigration like his hate mongering base. Draining the D.C. swamp of corruption was the one topic that had large appeal among all voters. He has nothing like that this time around and has to respond to a multitude of things that occurred under his supervision, which as a new candidate he didn't have to before.

The only topic that resonates with a lot of voters that he talks about is inflation but the way he talks about it and tariffs doesn't make any sense. I am not sure whether he understands his role in creating inflation or what causes inflation. In either case, he has not presented any solution that makes any sense and Biden in the least has started slowing it down my raising interesting rates.

Why is it that the same people who are terrified of George Soros nefariously pulling the strings of politics from the shadows, are also ok with the world's literal richest man openly backing Trump?
And if you rememeber. This forum was up in arms and furious for a few years about twitter being biased and needing to be apolitical.
