Trump could've said, "Yes, I paid Stormy. Yes, I've made mistakes, but that's personal business."

EDIT: Upon reading some of your comments, it could very well be the case that coming forward would have not helped his case after all...

...but regardless, he put himself in this situation by being a filthy fucking cheater, and if didn't help that he stated being unaware of the payment. He should just STFU all the fucking time about everything.

Thusly, he would not be in the shitter right now.

And before you say "It's not a big deal that the FBI raided Cohn", well...IT IS.

Manafort was raided...and we all know how that turned out for him. (and it's ongoing)

Trumps lies upon lies upon lies are catching up to him...and he's FAR too stupid to keep his mouth shut at the very least. (I'm referring to when he said that he didn't now about the payment from Cohn to Stormy Daniels)

In summation, Trump is his own worst enemy.

Trump will be Trumps undoing...and this may apply ESPECIALLY if he tried to fire Mueller.

And yes, this thread is worth being posted, as are ALL threads that are bump worthy when the Trump fiasco finally implodes in totality.

He probably couldn't have said that- legal implications, campaign finance. Somebody can explain it better than me. The morality isn't really the problem (it never has been with him).

Because then he would have to admit mistakes and tell the truth, 2 things he has never done and seems pathologically unable to.

Correct.

The issue is that in all likelihood, Trump cannot admit to paying Stormy because he used money from the Trump Foundation or his campaign funds to do it (through Cohen). That’s illegal, and a sign of how much of a cheap ass he is.

The funny thing is that Cohen either has to repudiate Trump’s claims of ignorance or face disbarment, because making a legally binding contract on behalf of a client without their knowledge is grounds for disbarment.

This specific situation aside: he can't help himself; he has to constantly lie, even when lying is the worse option.

I don't care much for infidelity. Its his scumbag move of trying to get his lawyers to sue for 20 million dollars over something so frivilious and against a private citizen while being the POTUS

As has been mentioned - he could have said this if he paid it out personally.

IIRC there was an inexplicable one time only $130K Trump Tower "rental" expenses charged to the campaign right around the Daniels NDA settlement agreement. I think it's very likely that cheap ass Trump didn't want to pay the settlement himself, and figured there was so much campaign money they were never going to be able to spend it all anyways to use it and nobody would ever be the wiser.

He can't both fight to enforce the NDA and claim he knew nothing of it. He has to choose - either Stormy is allowed to talk openly and Cohen is thrown under the bus and disbarred, or Trump admits he was a knowing party and better hope he can show he paid the settlement personally.

Don't forget Trump is the guy who stole money from a charity for cancer kids, that's how amoral and cheap he is.

It comes down to the details.

I believe Trump sexual details are embarrassing and he will do anything, for them to not come out.

If he admits is true, he will essentially say that whatever Stormy says about his dick, piss and shit, is indeed true.

Also he has gotten away with shit his whole life...Why in the fuck would he not think he can get away with this?

Not to mention, I believe even in his fucked up warped mind, he knows that fucking a pornstar while your wife is pregnant is a little bit too much....even for idiotic conservatives with Olympic level mental gymnastics..

Honesty gets you nowhere with Trumps adversaries. Just listen to them on this board. They openly admit their fake outrage at the alleged affair to stick it to Republicans for what they did to Bill for getting what I can only imagine to be a wonderful blowjob.

Is any of this stuff of enough consequence to get him and his cronies out of power?

While not a redeeming personal characteristic, until he speaks under oath, his lies mean nothing.

Inaccurate.

Nah, no one is cheering against Trump because of Bill, which is old news. People on the left cheering Mueller are doing so because they think Trump is an asshole, and for some the reason is belief that Trump has done nefarious stuff.

It's irrelevant, not because what he did was okay (it's not), but because he could be the most sexually moral man who ever lived and the left will damn him.

If Hillary used Clinton Foundation donation money to finance her campaign, there would have been problems.

If Donald used his campaign money to pay off Stephanie, there will be problems.
