How many treaties and deals have Trump administration broken or backed out of?
US officials have debated whether to carry out the first US nuclear tests in 28 years as a way to pressure Russia and China into make a trilateral arms control deal, according congressional aides and former officials. They said the discussion took place at a “deputies meeting” of senior national security officials at the White House on 15 May, but that the proposal was shelved for the time being.

“There are still some professionals in the room who told them this is a terrible idea, thank God,” a congressional aide said. The report also quoted a senior administration official as saying the proposal was “very much an ongoing conversation”.

The Trump administration notified international partners on Thursday that it is pulling out of a treaty that permits 30-plus nations to conduct unarmed, observation flights over each other's territory — overflights set up decades ago to promote trust and avert conflict.

The administration says it wants out of the Open Skies Treaty because Russia is violating the pact, and imagery collected during the flights can be obtained quickly at less cost from U.S. or commercial satellites. Exiting the treaty, however, is expected to strain relations with Moscow and upset European allies and some members of Congress.

Open Skies one makes sense. Russia was a part of the agreement but had areas above themselves, basically the hot Georgia and Ukraine annexation zones, that’s they said no one could fly surveillance in.

And those are the areas that matter, so if Russia is breaking the treaty why let it exist as a farce?

Isn’t one to boost missiles against China? Makes sense.
