Agreed. I have no idea what his deal is with Avatar. Why is he so smitten with this story? He was content to only make two Terminator movies but he wants to make FIVE fucking Avatar films?
It just seems like such a massive and unfortunate mistake to me. Avatar is literally his WORST fucking movie, not counting his very first film Piranha 2.

Yeah, I appreciate that an egomaniac like Cameron can look back at Piranha and say it is "the finest flying killer fish horror/comedy ever made."
But like you, I can't help but think that 5 Avatar sequels are both overindulgent and unnecessary for pretty much everyone.
Avatar is just so wholly uninspiring, I can't stand it
