News Triple C apologizes to Aljo

He wasn't getting his ass kicked. Yan was landing the better harder strikes. But aljo was winning rounds based on activity. Was likely going to win the 4th (iirc) and be down on 0 of the cards heading into the fifth. Yan did look to be taking over, but let's not completely die to hypocrisy

I think you are reaching there. Yan ate his best shots and kept coming forward, started taking over the fight. How many times was he able to take down sterling? He knocked him down, etc.

Can't hate him for playing the game. It was working out pretty well for him. The retirement was dumb though.

Surprisingly always watched his fights.

Honestly didn't hate him,
just his cringe. Or anyone's.
Colby tries to be smart and is dumb, lying, arrogant.
Henry just embraced his goofy side.
"Goofy cringe" is forgivable if the cage work is animal,
and the person has good intentions/sportsmanship.
These guys are not comedians. It's forgivable.
It's a social media casual's world now.

Colby is another type of cringe,
one that is unforgivable.

Why did he apologize? Because he said aljo faked it?

i mean it's most people's opinion, and it doesn't take away the fact yan broke the rules.

I agree and I'm sure the irony is not lost on Sterling. Here's a man who called Yan a paper champ for having no wins in the Top 5 and then after winning the belt will be rightfully perceived as a paper champ himself.

This is without mentioning that Aljo's most embarrassing loss was via a huge knee to the side of the head from Marlon, only for his biggest win to be from a huge knee to the side of the head from Yan. You can't make this shit up.

But the owness is on Yan to prove in a rematch he can beat Sterling in a clean fight without landing an illegal knee. Sterling is the rightful owner of the belt under the rules of the sport and he has every right to celebrate that, however bittersweet the victory.
it's spelled pwnness

Surprised by the show of maturity by Triple C here.

Aljo was fighting a decent fight, but it's true his pace was way too high. It worked in his favor against Munhoz, but you can't sprint like that in a 5 rounder. I think he has "5 round cardio", but he needs to pace himself better to utilize it over 5 rounds.

The rematch will be interesting if Aljo can make that adjustment and also tighten up his takedown technique. It got sloppier the more tired he got and Yan had beautiful judo technique to capitalize on that.

No shame in Aljo celebrating the win and belt imo. It's a 1 on 1 fight and if your opponent disqualifies themselves then you're the winner by default. No one the former champ can blame but himself. There's 4 ways to win a fight (knockout, submission, decision, or DQ) and Aljo unfortunately managed to pick every fighter's least favorite. That's the sport sometimes.
Well said

Just seems empty to get your ass kicked, then win via dq and hold the belt despite knowing you aren't the best fighter. Most people would feel like a fraud and not celebrate I would think.
If two opponents enter a contest and one breaks the rules BLATANTLY and the other is declared winner the better fighter that night won. People scream about fairness but it’s all bias

Sounds like you haven't won much in your life if you think that makes you the better fighter. More lessons from Mr. Man.

Matt Hamil was the better fighter than Bones... Lmao. You can't be serious.

Sterling was losing clearly. Anybody scoring the fight for Aljo till the dq is blind

I think this is a really good post.

I already declined your generous job offer. I don't think I'm strong enough to lift your gut and clean under it.

Then I would highly suggest you stop making this personal because personally you don’t know who you are talking to son.

Gtfo with that bs. Yan was beating the ever living Sh%t out of him. 1 more round and Yan would've decapitated aljo.
he really wasn't. He was landing some harder shots but aljo was much busier and later in the fight, I think end of the 3rd, you could see aljo start to hurt him with some good leg kicks. you're confusing those multiple trip takedowns with asskickery but Yan did nothing with them and wanted no part of the ground

You insane ?....he was getting dropped every round and taken down every round ...yan literally dominated the fight after the first 3 minutes . Sterling win round 1 at most and was losing round 4 aswell . Yan will smoke him in the rematch .....there's literally no aspect of the sport that sterling is better at . Coward paper champ that'll never defend once .

Got a pretty good idea from what you've posted. I'm pretty intuitive, and there's nothing there to be impressed by or afraid of pal.

Being ticked off that Aljo was doing interviews and posting pics with big smiles and belt that soon after the fight is nothing to apologize over. In fact, if the ref and or doctor is calling a fight due to concussion concerns, why is the fighter doing a post fight interview? If it was that concerning shouldnt they have to be taken for observation immediately like other sports?
