Most of this video is about the triangle choke itself, but here's a quick explanation for the setup at about 3:30 into it.

I tell my opponent "here comes the armbar" then I triangle him instead. sneaky sneaky

naw but for real, I just go for an armbar, let them pull their arm out and sink the triangle instead.

Get an omaplata and spin around for the triangle.

Mount and fake an armbar, go over the arm and finish the triangle

Kimura form bottom and while he is tight let go of the arm thats wrapping the shoulder and do the standard push out triangle.

Triangle from the mount and overhooking butterfly guard is money.

Also, you can hit a triangle from modified scarf (not the reverse triangle, although you can do that as well) by stepping over the arm with you near side leg straight into the triangle. You can get it also from normal 100 kilos side control, but I haven't had that much luck with that setup.

I haven't been able to get the triangle from back mount either, which is something I want to get better at.

Look for some Judo newaza vids to find some awesome ways to attack the turtle position with the reverse triangle.

Could someone explain this further to a person who might not exactly know what mission control and meathook are?

I don't approve of how they finish the triangle in here (i.e. arm not crossed) but w/e.

the duck under is probably my favorite set-up

I found this technique to be most beneficial.

I found a cool set up for a reverse triangle from the guard just randomly getting it on some guy the other day.

Its like a 3 triangle flow where you spin up into a reverse triangle from guard. It starts instead of doing the triangle to omoplata when he defends by grabing underneath you do the triangle switch where you drop knee to ground and lock a triangle oposite way (marcelo shows this). Now if this isnt quite working and/or he is twisting out you post on your hand and spin up to his back with your shin across right in reverse triangle position. Grab your ankle with one hand and your shin on oposite side with other hand. Now fall back and lock up the triangle. :)

From here you can do arm locks or choke him out. I love the reverse triangle.

Not sure if I invented this setup or not (probably not) but I never have seen it taught before.

what is different?

I seriously don't understand how this video has a place in this thread. All that video does is explain how to lock a triangle and the principles. it has nothing to do with setting a triangle up, and there's nothing different about it. it's extremely basic.

Back mount setup rocks.

Trap their right arm with your right leg. Pull their left arm acrossed their body with your right arm. Throw your right leg on top of their body. Hook left leg for triangle.

Care to describe this set-up?

it's a bit advanced and requires some acrobatic ability, but I will probably post up a video within the next few weeks. I have most of the movement in my arm back now and feel 80% healed. I even started training a bit again this week.
