I use it when it comes up, which is often, it's my most common back sub surprisingly enough ... I haven't sat down and figured out what angles it works from but I do pull it off from more than just sitting comfortably, yes there will be times it's not going to be successful but in gi it's my go to right after bow & arrow which is common ... Let me know how it works for you
