Is not that bad. It's actually really awesome! According to the people on this site...

http://www.howtogotonorthkorea.com/

The testimonials on there have me wondering why I have not yet gone there as vacation destination, and why it's not higher up on my list of places to travel. Cyrus's testimonial below really spoke to me.

“North Korea redefines your perspective as a traveler, and is more than just a destination — it’s an adventure designed for true explorers.”

– Cyrus Kirkpatrick

“Jordan put together an amazing journey to the DPRK! Their mutual good humor (combined with truly adventurous spirits) made them the perfect companions for this trip. If I ever go back, I’m going with these guys!”

– John Carmack

Well, I know where I'm going for Spring Break guys!

Why the hell is the creator of DOOM vacationing in North Korea?

And why the hell is he liking it?

Be sure to take one of their hotels' many complimentary flags as a souvenir on your way out.

Well, it's a convincing website. I'll consider visiting.

There should be a new reality show:

You start in Iraq go through Syria then Iran, Afghanistan, North Korea then end up in Brazil for the Olympics.

Winner gets 10,000 dollars and opportunity to carry the Olympic Flame and appear on morning TV.

I hope in my time that the communist regime is gone and i can visit the beautiful nature as it was like 100's of years ago . Much of south koreas old landmarks and scenery heavily changed since war and being industrialized . Many of our forests were clear cut and the land burned . We don't have hundreds of year old forests in the south but they still do in the north .

You clearly haven't been to S. Korea. I just spent nine months down there crossing my fingers that the damn northern counterparts of the south wouldn't blow me smithereens. They're insane and their government is even worse.

While I was down there they fired artillery at speakers playing k-pop and dropped propaganda flyers over us via drones. Not to mention they allegedly detonated a nuclear warhead.

So if relaxing in a N. Korean hotel ran by mal nourished and underpayed employees with the prospect of facing nuclear annihilation sounds like your cup of tea, be my guest and do it up.

YOLO Swag!

People who work in these industries are not malnurished . If you are employed by the state in hospitality you will be well off and reasonably attractive .

Spend a couple of days in the beautiful outdoors and a couple of days hooning around in the streets!

I'd rather not risk getting life in prison just for going there

Well, you still have to deal with the impending threat of an all out conflict between the worlds most sophisticated military and one of the worlds largest armies. IMO you should just head somewhere else. lol!

the dmz was one of the coolest/strangest places i have ever been to. there you can actually go a few steps into n. korea inside a building that straddles the border.

i heard they landed some1 on the sun. maybe u can look into that TS

I'm planning to do a tour in North Korea later this year.

I\ll be filming it (at least what I am allowed to film).

Shouldn't be a big deal if you follow their rules. Lots of tourism group opening up in NK now doing a lot of different designed tours. I'd like to do one of the more nature oriented ones, rather than the museum tour fluff.

Seems the only good thing about visiting NK is getting out of there and being able to say "I visited NK and survived."
