Another win for equality in my opinion.
Another win for equality in my opinion.
Australia does it, England does it, Israel does it. If anyone has a problem with it, that's on them. Be a man and be secure in your own masculinity.
So progressive!
YesSo would male to female trannies have to pass the female standard physical test or the male one?
How about the female to male people?
And do the females to males get to use testosterone to help them pass the physical tests? And in war, will they always have access to the testosterone medication to help them perform? So would male to female trannies have to pass the female standard physical test or the male one?

I think the military is inviting trouble by doing this. It's not a good idea to recruit mentally ill people. Their suicide rate is already high.
Will trannies join so they can have their surgery paid for? Is the military going to provide all the counseling needed to hold back the depression and suicidal thoughts. War is hard enough on the normal population.
Females to male use testosterone to transition so yes. But you asked a good question, how will this work in combat zones? I think it's just a shot every two weeks so it's not such a huge deal, same thing with any other soldier doing TRT.And do the females to males get to use testosterone to help them pass the physical tests? This. Plus it's not like there's a large number of transgender folk trying to get into the armed forces.
A UCLA study estimates over 15,000 transgender people currently serve in the military.
NPR cites a UCLA study that states there are over 15,000 currently serving. It seems high, but who the fuck knows. I worked in mental health in the army and I never met one.
