Darrell Montague getting a title challenger in John Dodson in his debut is pretty insane. Paulo Thiago got a veteran in Koscheck. Junior Dos Santos got a high ranked contender. Also that guy who fought Uriah Hall on short notice. Any others?

Art Jimmerson didn't even know what the fuck was going on.

Lesnar got Mir, that's a rough debut. Then there's Wanderlei's debut against Belfort.

But in all seriousness, Dos Santos got Werdum. Tough debut.

Jay Hieron drew GSP, got punched out in about 100 seconds. They showed Hieron's poor girlfriend on the big screens in the arena balling her eyes out. Tough draw.

Brock Lesnar got Frank Fuqqing Mir in his second fight ever. That's a rough go. Atleast most the other guys had double digit fights in other orgs before they came in.

Latifi had a pretty rough debut

3 days notice, cut 28 pounds and had to fight a veteran like Mousasi

Look no further than Fedor's resume for a list of mismatches.

Soto
Alvarez
Overeem
Latifi
Yakovlev
Aguilar
Lesnar
Melendez

Willie Gates fought John Moraga in his debut on short notice. To go from fighting no names to fighting one of the top 5 guys in your division must be crazy.

Joe Lauzon got a former champ in Jens Pulver and TKFO'd him to boot.
