I know Topuria has good grappling, but hasn't shown to much yet in UFC. Evloev has grappled everyone. I think if Topuria passes him, he's probably ready for Islam.

It's not any more dangerous than what he's already faced though, Movsar is skilled and gritty but he's not a finisher and tends to do just enough to get by his opponents.

Lopes on short-notice, Allen and now Sterling were anything but dominant showings from Evloev, granted they're all great fighters, but when you compare that to what Ilia has been doing even before his title fights then it's night and day.

Putting aside Topuria's grappling background, he still had a very easy time with Bryce who is one of the better wrestlers at 145, so it's not like he's untested or shaky there - he's just that damn good with his boxing that people assume his grappling must be a weakness.

It's a terrible matchup for Evloev since he's never been this top control machine, and his striking is extremely basic. I do think he could be tough enough to go the distance with Topuria, but I can't see him winning more than 1 round, he just doesn't match up well with the champ.
