Which grapplers do you think are the top 5 best grapplers of all time? I like to ask this questions cause of the varied responses of people. Must have 5 grapplers, in order to who you think is best. They can be from any grappling background including BJJ, Judo, Catch, Sambo, Wrestling, or Sub. Wrestling.

I would probably change Ricco to GSP in your MMA category. GSP has been owning motherfuckers left and right with his incredible wrestling and good BJJ.

    Roger Gracie :icon_chee

I'd add in Karelin for top wrestler, and Yamashita for top judoka (though I'm too lazy to make top five lists for wrestling and judo).

As in any sport the best player/competitor NOW is the best of all time.

You can't compare across generations because athletes are always getting bigger, stronger, smarter, etc.

For example in the NFL you put Romo, Manning, or hell even Chad Pennington in as the starter for the broncos in the '88 superbowl and they would have scored 70+ points.

Lets see #1 is me. There is no reason to even go to #2 as I only recognize myself. :)

    6. Saulo Ribeiro

I had to put Saulo in there just because I think so highly of him, the guy is not only an incredible jiu-jitsu player, but I really think that if we're talking about teachers he's one of the best on the planet.

Oh yeah, and call me a sucker but I really do believe that if you put Rickson in a sport jiu-jitsu competition with no time limits he could beat anybody on the planet.
