No real rhyme or reason behind this list, as some are on here for different reasons--whether it was shock, terror mixed with joy, sadness, and anger (see #6), or the sheer amazingness of the accomplishment (1-5). I got carried away and did 10.

1. Conor over Aldo
2. Serra over GSP
3. Holly over Ronda
4. Jones over Shogun

9. Cain over Lesnar
10. Couture over Sylvia

Lawler/MacDonald was the best title fight I've ever seen.

In no order:
Hughes/Newton

The ones that should happened. Impressive fights despite being competitive.

1. Cruz def. Dillashaw - the trash talk, the history between the two, Dom's injuries. All that to culminate in what was genuinely a masterful performance and a great, competitive, technical fight makes it one of my favorite fights ever.
2. Pettis def. Henderson - This was just a clear cut domination over a truly game prime Bendo. Pettis just had his number.
3. Machida def. Evans - another example of two really high level guys competing (both at the time unbeaten) that ends up in a one-sided mauling. This sport is wild.
4. Shogun def. Machida - I still remember the headline on sherdog the morning after: "REVENGE" . Machida is my guy, but I felt great for all the Shogun fans that felt like the judges made the wrong call at 104, which despite the ugly taste left in everyones' mouth, was a great technical fight in and of itself.
5. Jones def. Shogun - we knew Bones was good, but that night we learned he was unstoppable.

HMs: Penn def. Hughes (it was at WW ffs; prime BJ was a treat to watch), Couture def. Sylvia, Holm def. Rousey

GSP-Hughes II
Liddell-Couture II
Shogun-Machida II
Dillashaw-Bara
Weidman-Silva

My personal favorite is Holly over Rhonda. Watching her get KTFO after her being such a cunt and having to listen to non MMA fans talk about how great she full well knowing that they know nothing about the sport was amazing. It was beautiful to see the hype train crash and burn.

1- Anderson vs Sonnen 1
2- Serra vs GSP 1
3- Cain vs JDS 2 & 3
4- Shogun vs Machida 2
5- Conor vs Aldo

Why was anyone amazed at Jones defeating Shogun? Dude was never really that great, the LHW division was just incredibly weak.

1.) Diaz/Conor (McGregorWeight)
2.) Serra/GSP (Welterweight)
3.) Holly/Rousey (WBantamweight)
4.)Couture/Sylvia (Heavyweight)
5.)Weidman/Silva (Middleweight)
