The movie (End of Evangelion) is awesome and just the best. The series was cool, but I'm sure there are better series out there. But that movie is all I need. Not a general anime fan, but I was close to getting a NERV tattoo back in the day.

I got out of anime really young, so any newer series, and I'm out of the loop. Evveryone used to watch DBZ, and I thought it was dreadful, so my tastes do not matter to most die-hard anime peeps.
