<Fedor23> is there really a "best" spider man movie. I'd say definitely not the one with Jamie Foxx

I just want to know who the two weirdos are that voted for the worst spiderman movie???

Spider-Man 2
Spider-Man
Into the Spiderverse

Amazing Spider-Man

I kind of like AS 2 honestly. I would never put it close to the top 3, but I think it's better than Raimi 3 which makes so many missteps that it's just- disappointing and AS 1, the best moments of which feel completely derivative of the Raimi film and the worse moments of which seem completely jarring. I remember the transition to the scene where Lizard attacks him at the school was so abrupt that I legitimately thought it was a dream sequence.

AS 2 had a bit of a different vibe from the first one. It had a lot of rough scenes and problems, but I liked some things better than I liked virtually anything in its predecessor. I thought De Haan, for instance, was really solid as Osborn. I liked that whole storyline if I"m being honest. I thought it came across really well how disgruntled De Haan was that Spidey wouldn't indulge him on the blood transfusion plan.

Foxx's villain was far less interesting to me. Came right out of the Selina Kyle '92 playbook only far less entertaining. Still, the Times Square setpiece is a really cool action segment. It looks good and has solid tension.

I thought the dynamic between Stone and Garfield was way better than in the previous film. Felt like there was more natural chemistry between them this time around rather than the breathy, awkward pause, stumbling over words junk that pervaded the first film.

And I really enjoyed this scene:

Stakes felt high to me, at least watching in the theater- even knowing that they were likely going to go with the death of GS. And when Spidey actually sends the web to catch her and it goes taut just as the back of her head hits the ground that nasty thud- damn. Tough stuff.

I'm one of those AS 2 apologists that @IamStryker can't get on board with lol. That said, still think it's a bottom-three Spider-Man film but I like it substantially more than the two I rank under it.

Spiderman 3 is the biggest pile of dogshit ever, but it's so bad that it's enjoyable
That said, it's still better than the Andrew Garfield Spiderman movies

With the original comic as the measuring stick i gotta go with the reboot versions over the original mcguire versions..

Also into the spiderverse is good..

Never liked mcguire.. spiderman was a nerd but never a pussy.. also casting topher grace as venom and kirsten dunst as mary jane.. just nah..

Also the spiderman rouges gallery didn't age very good..

Not enough votes for Spiderverse IMO. Wondering if people didn't watch it because it's animated? Big mistake if so! Fantastic movie that I have seen over a dozen times since it's so watchable with my kids.
