Go. Your top 3?

Spider-Man
Spider-Man 2
The Amazing Spider-Man 2

The Amazing Spider-Man 1 sucked. The MCU Spidermans suck. Spider-Man 3 was decent but also kinda meh.

The 1st one with Toby Maquire was the best by adecent amount. I thought Spiderverse and Homecoming were next

Went with 1, 2 and 3. 2 being one of the best superhero movies ever.

The Andrew Garfield movies sucked

Tom Hollands movies are ok just kind of bland and boring like a lot of MCU solo movies.

Into the Spiderverse did nothing for me.

I'm not real interested in the Spiderverse but I'll watch it at some point. I try to give movies that are highly applauded a chance. I agree about the MCU Spidey. Complete letdown for me. I really didn't mind the Amazings but I'm a big Spider-man fan so I'm a bit of an easy pleased when it comes to the screen. Which is how I know the MCU offerings are such garbage so far.

I've never understood the love for SM2.
Am I missing something?

1,2, far from home I guess altho homecoming wasn't bad either

First two movies had Prime Dunst and Willem Dafoe and Alfred Molina chewing so much scenery I'm surprised the sets didn't collapse. Easy picks for the 1 & 2 spots.

Third place is more of a problem for me. I'm not a huge fan of Garfield's movies, and while Holland is good in the role, the movies suffered from the MCU's Achilles Heel: weak Big Bads. Not even Gyllenhaal and the Lord of the Wings himself can make Mysterio and the Vulture into A-list Villains. In the comics, they're basically added to teams like the Sinister Six just to make up the numbers.

I eventually picked Far From Home just because the stinger of Peter being outed as Spidey was pretty cool.

Garfields first film is good. The ruined the 2nd

Toby all 3 are fine but 1 & 2 are the best of all the Spiderman films. Holland is a terrible Spiderman in my opinion

So I choose

Spiderman
Spiderman 2
The Amazing Spiderman

I wonder how correlated the selections are with the age of the selector. Are people selecting the ones they grew up with?

I selected the Tobey Mcguire ones but they may not actually be the best, because I honestly didn't get through any of the new ones, but not being able to get through any of the new ones could be a function of my oldness, and shorter attention span and higher expections. it's a conundrum

i think younger posters know about the tobey ones just as much as the newer ones if not more imo

tobey was more iconic as spiderman just like keaton was more iconic than clooney and kilmer

Tom Holland destroys Tobey and Garfield and while the original first two and the reboot two were pretty enjoyable its forever going to be hard to top what Marvel has done. Spider Man 2 has the best villain though and the best reveal to MJ so it gets a boost over Mysterio for me.

Spider Man Homecoming
Spider Man 2
Spider Man Far From Home
Spider Man
Amazing Spider Man
Amazing Spider Man 2

Spider Man 3
