Top 10 Greatest UFC Fighters of All Time

Anderson
Gsp
Jones
Penn
Chuck
Hughes
Randy
Tito
Royce
Aldo

thankyou. i like this one alot more. switch 1 and 2 and shuffle the others. but that list is always a certain for candidates for an 'all time top 10' for the UFC.

The widespread disrespect for JJ is disgusting...He should be right there at no. 1 or 2. Cain got stopped. GSP has legitimate losses. Hell, Bones should be the slight favorite against Cain in a superfight. He's ragdolled just about everyone at LHW with his strength. His reach, height, and athleticism are other obstacles that Cain would have to contend with. Your list sucks boy.

Yea he was such a great NFL player he got cut before the season started

He didnt get cut because he wasnt a good athlete you idiot, they actually said he was the best athlete to come along in so long. He got cut because he hadn't played football since high school, he didnt know the game.. and he wasnt cut. They wanted him to learn the game in NFL Europe first and he didn't want to do that.

I like the top 5 to include Anderson, GSP, Fedor, Aldo, and Jones.

Let's just make a list of all the current champions and call them the best ever.

This. You don't even have Matt Hughes, Royce Gracie, Randy Couture, or Chuck on the list. But you have Benson, Pettis, and Renan Barao.

Joe Son
Teila Tuli
Art Jimmerson
Gabe Ruediger
Andy Wang
Moti Horenstein
Yoji Anjo
Kimbo
Tiki Ghosn
Mostapha Al-Turk

(this only counts UFC, the best of the best)

This list is not just based on who beats who but also pure talent, legacy and history.

10. mark coleman
09. randy couture
08. BJ Penn
07. tito ortiz
06. chuck lidell
05. frank shamrock
04. matt hughes
03. jon jones
02. Anderson Silva
01. Georges St. Pierre

I have gsp as #1 because he pretty much retired champion.. Anderson just lost two in a row. However, based on talent, .
)

* all good bro I fixed it for you

"Greatest" is relative to the era they fought in, and their competition from that era. Having said that, Hughes and Chuck are no-brainers. You could also make strong cases for Royce, Ken, and Mark.

an all time greatest ufc fighter top 10 not including Chuck Liddell?

He didnt get cut because he wasnt a good athlete you idiot, they actually said he was the best athlete to come along in so long. He got cut because he hadn't played football since high school, he didnt know the game.. and he wasnt cut. They wanted him to learn the game in NFL Europe first and he didn't want to do that.

He was cut before being offered a spot in NFL Europe. Either way he never played a down in the NFL in a game that counted

this list is incorrect. gsp does not belong belong in top 3 (Andy, Jose, BJ)

When you're ranking people on an all-time list, you rank them on their accomplishments, not you're assumption as to whether or not they were more or less talented than today's batch of fighters.

Athletes in other sports aren't considered worse because the level of the game was lower. In hockey, Gordie Howe is considered one of the greatest of all time, yet the general level of athleticism in the league back then was much lower than today, and goaltenders wore less padding and protected a larger net.

Similar examples can be found in all sports, but that's irrelevant. You measure them based on how they competed on the platform that was available to them.

This is more of a list of the "Top 10 greatest UFC fighters of the last 2 years" rather than "Top 10 greatest UFC fighters of all time"

1.Fedor Emelianenko
2.Georges St.Pierre
3.Anderson Silva
4.Minotauro Nogueira
5.Royce Gracie

The rest are interchangeable.

In Terms Of Who Beats Who

1. Chris Weidman
2. Jon Jones
3. Chuck Liddell
4. GSP
5. Anderson Silva

Wtf does that even mean?

If you mean in terms of "who would beat everyone else" then Weidman would definitely be behind Cain and Jones because he ain't beating either of them. And Chuck Liddell would have gotten squashed by Silva prime-for-prime.

where is the hammer? silly list. seriously.

(this only counts UFC, the best of the best)

This list is not just based on who beats who but also pure talent, legacy and history.

10. Chris Weidman
09. Renan Barao
08. BJ Penn
07. Benson Henderson
06. Anthony Pettis
05. Jose Aldo
04. Jon Jones
03. Cain Velasquez
02. Anderson Silva
01. Georges St. Pierre

I have gsp as #1 because he pretty much retired champion.. Anderson just lost two in a row. However, based on talent, I think Cain Velasquez is probably the greatest MMA fighter in the entire world as of right now.

(Note I didnt include royce, couture, matt hughes etc... because despite having legacy and stuff, they just dont have the rest to be in the level of those guys ^)
