a torn ligament in the knee (ACl, MCL) at the age of 34? Good luck recovering from that and pulling rubber guard from now on. Everyone is so in shock about the fact that the fight didn't happen again that they don't realize that this is a serious injury that could mean that Tony isn't going to return the same.

He'll be back. He just shit himself and bottled the fight let's be honest.

He'll be fine. He has access to the best surgeons and rehabilitation facilities.

I know that he will be back. He won't be the same as before though. This injury is going to affect his fighting ability negatively

If Khabib wins the next fight will be vs Conor.

If Max wins the next fight will be against Conor.

and even if Khabib loses, I doubt the UFC will want to book him against Ferg again.

So yea Tony let himself and all his fans down bigtime.

Its over for him.

Just like Khabib's career was done when he missed weight last time. There were retards saying he will never come close to a title shot again. And now this.

They have to book him for a title fight. There are no other fights that make sense for Tony. He will lose his next one though. This is a serious injury

The thing is. By the time he comes back he will be like 36 with a repaired knee.

Yeah because missing weight and having a torn ACL/MCL are the same thing <{cruzshake}>

The thing is. This is exactly why I made this thread

The reports I saw said it was an LCL tear. Without complications he would be back for a August/September fight

LCL is definitely fixable to 100% with surgery. Dana said he completely tore it from the bone so he will have surgery and be out 9 month-1 year. Bigger concern is his age. he's an ancient LW as is and will be 35 when ready to fight again. Father time in other words.

Out for 1 year. So he's fucked regardless

Missed weight is no big deal.
A torn ligament is, IMO.

whatta fucking trash way to go out

He still has a bright career of kicking steel stuff with a bare leg.

Dana always exaggerates injuries! “He tore his fucking muscle straight off the bone dude!!!”

Imo depends on the ligament. The medial collateral ligament isnt solicitated that much doing rubber guard..
Acl different story.

1 year minimum if we're being honest.

Bare in mind that there are a lot of potential complications that can arise during both the surgery itself and the rehabilitation process thereafter.

And even if we assume that everything is going to go well in that regard, who knows how functional the knee is going to be when finished, and what kind of an impact the result is going to have on other areas of his body that will start compensating if full range of motion isn't achieved in the knee.
