Tony Ferguson's New Record: Most Losses Without a Pink Slip

The thing with Tony that gets me is how utterly lost he is out there now. His skills just evaporated. If he had simply lost a step or had trouble keeping up with the newcomers, they could treat him like Jim Miller and give him softer fights he could win through experience. But it's all just....gone? Justin must have literally destroyed the neuron formations in Fergs brain. I hate to say it, but I would not be shocked if, after an autopsy, we discovered his brain was as smooth as an egg.

Pretty amazing career. Tony fans got spoiled with highs and lows.

What I want to know is, with this man's behavior outside the cage being very well documented, why would you feel sorry for him? On top of that, only 2 of these many losses were brutal as he's been pretty lucky.
This, the guy has always been a douche bag yet for some reason he gets a pass. I personally enjoy watching him get his ass kicked, he even had me cheering for Patty Pimblett of all people.

I think the UFC owes him some sort of job outside the ring....and Im sure Dana would offer it. But he is clearly not fit to fight now and should not be licenced anywhere...but sadly money talks and he will.

I think things either way are not going to end well for him. Im hoping Im very wrong.
I have a legit hard time thinking of a worse human being to be awarded a sympathy "something about the UFC that isn't fighting" hire than Tony. He is a headcase that would be horrible in either the context of talking for a living or training others for a living.

This. Which is likely the reason he changes teams every fight / because outside of him being a meme for the internet he actually appears to be a very unpleasant human being to be around.

I have never been a Tony Ferguson fan, but I have to admit feeling a little sorry for him now. It must be tough to go from having such an impressive winning streak, to such a long losing streak. That beating he took from Justin Gaethje must have really damaged him. Amazing how fast things can change in the fight world. I hope he retires now, but he will probably go fight in the bare knuckle league like Mike Perry. I wish him well, and good health!

Poor Tony. But it is what it is. At least Chiesa was sporty enough to just strangle him.

Can we pinpoint the exact moment of Tony's freefall to the moment he threw imaginary sand at Gaethje?

The cable incident. Getting that surgery changed him and it was noticeable in the Pettis fight.

His body and performance looked terrible. Retire dude.

Would love to see Tony retire; he has suffered a ton of damage over this string of loses.

This is that end of your career stuff that just boggles the mind. Tony was 25-3 in 2020.

Tony needs to get off those psych meds. They are turning him into a zombie, he used to be and train non-stop like an animal back in the days. They put him on psych meds a few years back berceuse he had a psychotic episode, but IMO Psychotic Tony was the FIGHTER and now his psych meds keep him docile. He started losing after he got put on meds. Most people say that his performance declined due to CTE from his recent losses, but i believe that the rabbit hole goes deeper than that.

The only guy to wear sunglasses inside a fuck up a knee and also do 2 weight cuts back to back for no reason. He's a special kind of human, once in a lifetime some would say.

Ok, yeah. That is probably the real one to kickstart it all.

Just think on some metaphorical level the sand throwing needs to be mentioned.

UFC showed him a lot of respect by giving him all of those chances. But at this point, any further fights wouldn't be respect, it would be highly negligent.
