Im sorry, but you dont get to take off for hocus pocus shimshammery after a 2 yr layoff along with a fight against short notice nobody and think you get a title shot after. Prolly I'm wrong and they'll give him the rda fight, but i just don't think he deserves it based on how inactive he's been, including hocus pocus time, and a fight against nobody. By that time, he will have fought, what, once in almost 3 years? Get the f out of here with that. Dude was getting punched in the face pretty easily tonight before he started the snuggle fest. I'd hate to have seen how a non short notice fighter would have helped him "knock the rust off."

I think kabob is a good fighter. Albeit boring as hell, but good. He just has to earn it like most others do- stay active and dont take so much mother f'n time off.

I don't think it's necessary. It'd be a great fight, but all Khabib really need to do to be the top contender was to show he was reasonably healthy and hadn't lost a step.

It's not necessary no but Khabib will be out for a while with Ramadan. It would be good to see him squeeze another fight in before then plus it would be a sick fight.

Side note. Khabib doesn't fight during Ramadan and it starts in May this year so I don't know if he'd be able to accept a fight in there. I don't know anything about the rule or anything, but I feel like recovering from any injuries sustained in a fight may not be easy with fasting and whatever else they do.

I'd be shocked if we saw Khabib fight next month, I expect to see him late this year at the earliest.

I wasn't overly impressed either, not that my opinion is worth much obviously. I saw what we all pretty much expected - horrible standup, a slam, some more dragging his opponent to the ground and a shitload of borderline strikes behind the ear before the finish against a part time fighter.

I would love Ferguson to win.

One of the best controllers vs one of the best opportunist and finishers. basically I think this fight would be khabib ragdolling Ferguson around early. Khabib would eat a shtload of jabs and elbows on the feet later. Somewhere along the line Khabib would get submitte while control ferguson.

Get outta here. Khabib is a great fighter but he just got back and thrashed an unheralded guy after a horror injury run. There is no line to fight Khabib. Tony vs Khabib for top contender makes a whole load of sense.
