tony’s reach is ridiculous for a lightweight. Its actually closer to a MW or LHW. Khamzat has a 75 inch each. Is this real, are tony’s arms that long?

tony never really trained with a good camp.

He was often sloopy so the reach advantage was probably maximized.

UFC a times also lies about reach and height to sell the fights.

He gave Nogueira all he could handle in his previous fight. Fedor did say he had to end it early because he couldnt let Sylvia establish the jab and control distance.

Maybe he could have established his jab but against Fedor I feel it would be of little consequence. Brett Roger's broke fedors nose with his first landed jab. Did not deter him at all. And that creep hit harder than Sylvia.

Sylvia was still a top 5 Heavyweight in the world when that fight happened. Everybody was excited to see it. I bought that pay per view and had friends come over. Now of course the fight we really wanted at that time was Fedor vs Randy, or Fedor vs Barnett, but Sylvia was still a good matchup to make in the mean time.

Different org but I was on that Ubereem vs Fedor train. Him vs Sylvia I felt was a squash match. But you're right. You can only take what's available. I bet Fedor wouldn't get flattened in 20 seconds against old Ray Mercer like Sylvia afterwards.

I think at that point Sylvia's motivation was at an all time low,he exhausted his oppurtunities at the top level,and showed up real overweight for the fight w Mercer.

Def a fight people had been talking about for the past 4 yrs or so. Im glad it happened. At the time the media were definitley skeptical about how much longer Fedor was going to be able to keep his 0
