Tony should have decent wrestling, I mean that's his background afterall, but he never showcases strong defensive wrestling. He's gotten taken down by way, way lesser wrestlers than Colby.

He trusts his guard and has fallen in love with his 10th planet bjj. I honestly don't know how good his TDD is capable of being anymore. He stuffed 5 of 5 vs RDA in their fight, but yeah he's been taken down other times. I don't honestly think he minds it. He believes he'll do more damage off his back than they will with top position.

I've been here a pretty long time. Khabib has some haters, sure. Tony does too. But Khabib fanboys have become among the worst, and it reminds me a little of the Machida fanboys from back when he was undefeated. I actually liked Machida and rooted for him for a bit until his nuthuggers here became absolutely intolerable. They literally thought he could not lose, that his style was impossible to figure out. Khabib fanboys have some of the same traits (I'm talking about the select few extremely vocal ones, not everyone who's a fan of Khabib). This sport doesn't breed unbeatable fighters, and Khabib is no exception. Tony vs Khabib is the fight that every real fan wants to see, because those of us who are honest (Tony fans, Khabib fans, and everyone else) realize we don't know what will happen. I'm a Tony fan, but of course I understand there's a very clear path to victory for Khabib. And I don't deny at all how good Khabib is. But some of his fans have become the absolute worst. Some of it even is that they are anti-west/anti-US (not the majority for sure, but some and they are the most vocal).

Neither have ducked the other either, as both have signed up multiple times to fight each other and bad luck has ruined it each time.

I agree on Masvidal too, and it's why I've argued rankings are pointless. He's ranked 3rd FFS, and he's 2-2 in his last 4 fights and 6-4 in his last 10. Meanwhile Ponz and Edwards just keep winning and are ranked FAR below Masvidal. Yes, I think Masvidal is exciting at times too but giving him a title shot is an absolute joke if it happens. It's like winning consistently doesn't even matter anymore. Just get one or two flashy KO's and you leapfrog guys with long win streaks. Ridiculous.

IMO, there isn’t a fighter at 155 that’s a terrible matchup for Khabib. Maybe the betting line will be closer. But Khabib will still be a rightful favorite, I’d say.

Sorry, you mean the his fanboys aren't being obnoxious in that thread? I'd actually agree with that in that one, not really anything crazy. Just propping him up for being successful, not a big deal.
