Tony ferguson calls Oliveira a " wetblanket "

Felt flat.
Charles is a Wetblanket.
Warm up hasn't been same since Pre-Covid.
Not enough distance from hotel to fight to get fired up.

But no excuses.
What if he ACTUALLY felt flat?
He should think of the sherdoggers, and not tell his experience

<{cruzshake}> crazy guy who gets steamrolled is not a good look. Huge fan but he really needs to let it go. Crazy foolish gatekeeper is not a proper end for a warrior

Before this fight I was convinced Tony would win...........DoBronx made it look easy. I think that kid is on the way up while Tony has started to decline.

Indeed it was " fun " seeing ferguson, getting ready for a top pressure fighter ( Khabib ) for years ( legit gave this excuse for losing to justin ) get utterly dominated by a BJJ fighter mostly known for his bottom game ...

PS : his arm aint broken, no excuse possible for getting dominated the 2 other rounds.

just becaue his arm didnt break doesnt mean it wasnt torn in places or just hurt like hell lol

Seems that he was pretty complimentary of Do Bronx

Some nights a fighter just isn't feeling right. Hell, you can work a desk job and have an off day.

Still, this feels like it's more about an aging fighter running into a similar fighter who's younger and a maybe more technical.

Tony can still fight he just needs to fight someone ranked 10-15. He's been mauled 2 straight fights, and has shown us nothing really.

I remember in that fight tony holding on for dear life a lot trying not get a stand up. Hell he was holding on so tight Charles postures up and slammed him a few times

I can't remember an arm bar going that deep without a tap. Almost finished within the last 20 seconds of round one. Nothing wet blanket about that. From then on Chuck seemed to focus more on ground control, maybe getting into wet blanket territory. A lot of stacking and holding position in the last two rounds. I can see Tony's point with the wet blanket comment.

A good warmup in the back can make or break.

Yeah and because apparently the driver didn't take the scenic route to the venue caused an issue too.

There are some fighters it's impossible to feel sorry for after a loss. Tony has joined that group.

Yeah i agree with every @HHJ post in here.

Wet Blanket he defined by what he means, therefor you can interpret it as to what he said he means, or by what he didn't say he means. Either way I think theres enough of a show of respect in the rest of the post to suggest he's not being a dick... If he were though, who cares, fight game..

Also lets not forget Twitter Tweets are designed to be seen and targeted by/to your followers, not the world. I respect his honesty and insight.
