so here is a list of their common opponents inside the UFC. Im just gonna list the results each had vs each opponent ( in chronological order of when khabib faced them in case youre curious) but feel free to discuss the fights in detail on who you think was more impressive vs each opponent.

gleison tibau vs khabib (july 2012)...khabib via unanimous decision
gleison tibau vs tony (february 2015)...tony via sub rd 1

abel trujillo vs khabib (may 2013)...khabib via unanimous decision
abel trujillo vs tony (december 2014)...tony via sub rd 2

rafael dos anjos vs khabib (april 2014)...khabib via unanimous decision
rafael dos anjos vs tony (november 2016)...tony via unanimous decision

michael johnson vs khabib ( november 2016)...khabib via sub rd 3
michael johnson vs tony (may 2012)...michael via unanimous decision

edson barboza vs khabib (december 2017)...khabib via unanimous decision
edson barboza vs tony (december 2015)...tony via sub rd 2

Tony obviously can finish the fight quicker.

Tony doesn't look as dominant as Khabib over the course of the fight.

Both are beasts what more can you say. This is a very anticipated fight for me, can't wait !

Depends on what you consider more impressive...for the most part Khabib has won every second of his fights (with some exceptions) where as Tony takes more of a beating but can still finish at anytime

Edson Barboza vs Khabib may have been "only" a decision but it you weren't impressed with Khabib's performance you're watching the wrong sport.

Just saying, UDs aren't made equal.

Tone & it ain't close. He's the most dangerous guy walking
Not sure if serious......

{<huh}

Tony lost while Khabib beat all of them. At the elite level (MJ, RDA & Barboza), Tony is 2-1 while Khabib is 3-0, not to mention that Khabib smashed them while Tony lost or mightily struggled with all of them.

It's a risk taker vs non risk taker fight. Can Kabib minimize his risk while implementing his game, or can Ferg take him out of his comfort zone to catch him with something.

Let me get darced in a round and a half then get mauled and mutilated by a bear for an agonizingly slow and torturous fifteen minutes.

Against Common opponents Tony is 4-1 and Khabib is 5-0. Khabib>>>

i think its a little disingenuous to selectively include johnson as an elite opponent and leave out other guys. Johnson is a tough game opponent who has fought almost all of the best and has great hands but he currently has lost 5 of 6 including being finished in 3 straight.

What, from what I can remember, Khabib vs Tibau was anything but a "smashing", and Khabib could very well have had a Loss on his record.

just did a quick search on media scores for that fight. First off khabib won all 3 rounds according to the ringside judges. However media scores heavily favored tibau with all 3 sherdog scores as well as mmafighting.com and mmaweekly.com all scoring the fight for tibau and only mmajunkie scoring for khabib. Personally i dont recall the fight, i might have to go back and watch.

If anything, I see that Tony is the more dangerous fighter, he's been through adversity and still come out on top. While Khabib's 3 round maulings are impressive, they show that an opponent is able to survive for a lengthened period of time. Letting Tony survive only increases the chances of him pulling something out, as he has more weapons and more means to a finish than Khabib. Add to that, this will be a five round fight, that only increases the odds of Tony finishing. After thinking about it, I'm going with Tony for the win via late sub, 4th or 5th.

I rewatched it recently and don't see how Kalabib won.

i mean, finishes are more impressive than decisions.

tony/MJ was a long time ago, he's clearly improved by a huge amount.

Not sure if serious. Tone lost in 2012. 6 years ago lmfao

Khabib looked like shit against Teibau. Ferg finished him.

Ferg beat a much better version of RDA than Nurmawhatever did.

Ferg finished Trujillo

Finishes are always going to be more impressive than UDs. It shows a fighter is confident enough to take risks.

Ferg/Boza was one of the great fights of all time. Tony took risks against one of the more dangerous guys on the planet & gave the fans their moneys worth. The avar kid vs boza was dominant but nothing we havent seen before. Plus boza has zero rasslin
lmao " boza " isn't a thing, stop it.

also tone? avar kid? what're you dddoooing.
