Tonon vs Palhares

And people were saying Tonon would get ragdolled =P Shame there was no finish, but some great exchanges and attacks there, Paul Harris was in trouble a few times, but defended well.

He actually did better against Palhares than Galvao did in ADCC. Then again, Palhares didn't seem to be as agressive and dirty as he usually is. Maybe he has finally learned his lesson?

Well, aggression and being a dirty fighter are two different things. He definitely didn't do anything dirty this fight. But i the notion that he was less aggressive because he decided to be less aggressive is ... unlikely to be true. I think he wasn't as aggressive because Tonon was on the offensive most of the match and Palhares had to defend, and at the end of the match he was cautious and tired.

palhares' physique was fucking ridiculous.

he seemed to slow down really quickly though, he had what, two or three bursts of energy and then did more or less nothing for the rest of the match?

but i can't imagine how you submit that ball of muscle. it must feel like grappling a rhino.

I know right, i'm having a hard time imagining finishing this dude with a kimura hahah

Glad someone posted this. Looking forward to checking this match out. I am a Tonon fan but with Palhares' history of not stopping on the tap, I was a little nervous for him tbh.
