    Sad news. I used to read his books all the time when I was a kid, guy could write some engrossing stuff

    Alec Baldwin played the best Jack Ryan, then Harrison Ford and Ben Affleck at a distant last. Chris Pine is playing the character in a future movie called shadow one, He should do a good job.

    Hunt for Red October is my favorite Tom Clancy movie ever.

    I was so bummed to hear about this. Rainbow Six is my favorite of his books. That is pretty young to die. I didn't even know he was sick.

    I enjoyed many of his books. Did he stop writing later on? I'd see books saying 'Tom Clancy's something-or-other' with the actual authors name written in small letters at the bottom of the cover.
