Should the UFC go the same route as in "i cant see", then the fight is ended, in this case "i cant fight", well, tough luck, belt is up for grabs, he gets the first crack at it on his return, Jiri and Hill did it, didnt they? Both got injured and title got vacated twice.

That sucks. Hopefully it heals with time. Bad time for his career to end in terms of what he has put into it- it was just getting to a time when he could cash in.

Sucks to happen. I think he'll return, but is fighting with UFC for waiting until end of 2026 to do it. Just give him an immediate titleshot when he's ready. Gane/Aspinall is unfinished business, but I don't think most want to wait a year for it.

NGL I've been trying to give him the benefit of the doubt but that list of things he's having trouble with is so obviously put together by someone thinking about lawsuits.

Can't play with his kids, drive, quality of life stuff. Then, can't shake a hand, and has balance and coordination issues, so clearly can't dodge a punch.

Maybe they're not thinking suits and he instead has a publicist that was an attorney, either way it's written very Saul Goodmanish.

Hard to imagine this all is because of a eye poke. Did one of the blows he took do some real damage or what is this shit?

Rough.

Eye injuries are rough…

I believe he’ll be back in there again, but if he chooses to hang them up, I’m not going to hate on him for it…

I genuinely don't think he's faking it. Maybe he's exaggerating the severity a little bit, but if his vision isn't 100% then that's a problem. I think he just got really unlucky.

And whether it's intentional or not, Gane was at bare minimum careless and reckless and should be punished. IMO we should get Pereira vs Volkov for the vacant HW title if Tom vacates, and Gane should be forced to win another 1-2 fights to earn another title shot.

Tom Aspinall’s UFC career in jeopardy 4 months after Ciryl Gane’s eye pokes:

- He still cannot track moving targets with his eyes
- He has to take 32 eye drops a day
- He gets vertigo/dizziness if he changes direction suddenly
- He misses people’s hands when he shake them
- He has to ask people to drive him to places
- He struggles to play with his kids
- He has a black spot in his vision that won’t go away

They'll strip him, then make Gane vs Poatan for the undisputed title at the white house
Pereira vs Volkov, make an example of Gane and tell the fighters they won't be rewarded for eye pokes.

Is that an actual picture that Tom posted on the redcornermma post? (Staring into the mirror in deep despair)

That would be unbelievably cringe if he actually took that picture to share, in a obvious attempt to gain sympathy.

I Imagine Dana seeing that all

AI, bruv

*edit* I knew they added tears to the first image, but I just noticed that they also removed the level of redness. That's pretty poor form. As if AI didn't already make them scumbags
