EVERYBODY gets figured out eventually in MMA. The question you ask in how long did it take. Only GSP did it right, even then just barely. There is a reason losses tend to come in bunches. Happened to Chuck, Machida, AS, Shogun. It goes on. Even though Weidman finished AS, the Silva code was cracked by Chael Sonnen.

The "Silva code" was cracked by age.

Its not that Ronda got figured out. It is that se never evolved and faced crappy competition. The sport passed her by.

Oh and Chael did not crack the Silva code. He got destroyed in their second match. Silva evolved and was well rounded and faced world class competition. Ronda did none of those things.

Agreed TS.

207 can't erase all the great things the two former BW champs have done.

Nevertheless, the story continues.

For the zillionth time Rhonda's superiority in one craft "judo" helped set her up as a world champion, exploiting a new market and a new sport with thin competition. The sport aged 5 years and passed her by

Sonnen won every round in both fights until he got caught in a sub. Far as Im concerned, Sonnen won that first fight. If anyone earned the right to lay and pray the 5th round, it was Chael. Getting caught in a sub is hardly getting destroyed. Sonnen provided other fighters the blueprint.

Ronda has to improve some things. Probably a new camp/voice. It will happen to Conor too. (Nate says it already did).

Brah ppl on the forum had been saying RR had huge holes in her game for a very long time. However their genuine critique was often misconstrued as hate. Rogan and Dana's hyperbolic comments didn't help matters much.

Please Im talking about the second fight. Silva put Sonnen away. Silva evolved or maybe it was the back injury that affected the first match like he claimed. Now tell me who exactly used the "Sonnen blueprint" when Silva was finally defeated? Was it Weidman who knocked Silva out standing or broke Silvas leg by checking one of the leg kicks? How did Sonnen help Weidman with those outcomes?

No Silva subbed him. Not destroyed. Dont take the fact Silva was fighting from behind in both fights. Everyone saw that Silva was beatable and the losses piledup

Alexis Davis and Cat Zingano they both TKO Amanda Nunes but fell to Ronda in less than 20 sec. Ronda was facing best girls they were at the time

I said she wasn't great before she lost, for the exact weaknesses that were later used to crush her.

Yep she did face the best girls they were at the time. So what? They got better or atleast Amanda did Ronda never did. Remember these girls did not have a mommy who forced them to breath and eat Judo since they were born. On top of that Cat did a horrible mistake and paid for it. That fight said absolutely nothing about the skill level.

Pretty much the only thing to say to a post like this is... I agree.

Styles make fights, Ronda has trouble against fast strikers. From the way the fight looked Amanda pre-improvement would still have had a good chance to catch and KO Ronda.

While I agree with the facts your presenting, nobody ever accused Royce Gracie of not being great when the sport passed him by and Royce never face plant ko'd an opponent or finished someone with a knee from the clinch.
