I feel like that may be a bit of a stretch. Hooker has taken a lot of really rough fights.

When Hooker accepted tough fights against guys like Chandler & Islam it was because the upside was commensurate with the risk, islam was ranked higher and Chandler had a name. But this idea that Hooker takes all these tough fights and always says yes is absolutely laughable. When he was ranked high in the division he was insanely picky with fights and scoffed at anyone ranked lower than him. By contrast, Corey Sandhagen, Belal Muhammad, and several other top fighters routinely fight down in the rankings.
